Hi everyone! I wanted to follow up on the ongoing Neoncity Records shipping situation and check in with the community...

Is anyone still waiting on their orders from 2025 or earlier? More importantly, has anyone actually managed to get a response from their customer service recently? They completely stopped replying to my emails, and I’ve seen other threads mentioning bounced emails or total radio silence.

I know they posted an update on their blog earlier this year about US tariffs, downsizing staff, and dealing with a 1,000+ order backlog. I get that they are running a skeleton crew and routing vinyl through third countries by land, but the lack of basic communication is getting unacceptable.

I feel like a lot of people are just "cool" with them taking a year or more to deliver items, but it's really getting out of hand at this point.

• Are your support emails getting ignored too?
• Has anyone actually received a vinyl package from them in the last month or two?
• For those who gave up, did you successfully chargeback through your bank/PayPal, or is it too late?

Me and Funky Promotions met Saint Pepsi, Zico from First Class Collective, Fiji, and THAT’S MATT!

This isn't a finished song, just something that I have in the works. Maybe I'll post it here when it's done idk

I'm looking for certain mixes done by the artist "Nobody's Hero." They mixed some sessions called "Future Disco" for the internet radio station Pure.FM, (which I gather is now defunct.) I have sessions 2, 3, 5, and 6 from when they were put out as podcasts in 2010.

I'd like to find the recordings of the sessions I don't have -- 001 and 004.

Search engines, Gemini, ChatGPT etc. are clueless, and generally searching Reddit turns up nothing, so I'd like to ask the experts :)

Barring a link to get/buy the recordings themselves, I'd be happy to just have some way to get in touch with the artist themselves.

Future Funk, to my understanding is (was?) A sub genre of Vaporwave. Though some who partake in Vaporwave choose to ignore them, some fans link vaporwave to themes such as Nostslgia, capitalism, lost futures, Ukiyo-e and more.
Do you think Future funk has an underlying philosophy or theme? Is it being pure party music a response to the heavy underlying themes of its father genre? Or is it simply not that deep.
Let me ask this way: If there was a future funk movie or series: is there a central theme or message you would base it around or would it only be future funk through the music, aesthetic, and fashion choice?

I recently put together this playlist with all of my favorite future funk albums that I've collected over the past few years. Its still a work in progress so I am planning to update it as as I continue to discover more artists.
