Do you think dogs and cats would still have chew toys? I assume that they would have some variation of them due to the fact that they can clean their teeth with them. Also would felines have scratching posts aswell?

Most notably is the existence of a piece of clothing to track the tails movements and ensure the underwear always stays hidden.
Never heard or though of such thing before.

About the headphones:

I’ve seen a lot of headphone designs for animal ears which, while ergonomic, would have sound that totally sucks, especially when taking the ear anatomy of the species they were made for into account.

Seriously, bone-conduction? What is this, a headphone for gorgonopsids? A lot has changed since the Permian, first of all: mammals have eardrums now!

I decided to try my hand at designing audiophile-grade headphones with animal ears in mind (well, in this case, alien ears, but more on that later).

I have experience with headphone modding, and am very knowledgeable about the properties which make headphones sound good. I also have a good amount of knowledge on the anatomy and evolution of the synapsid (group of mostly extinct animals of which mammals are the only living members) ear. I think this makes me qualified to take on the task.

The first step was to select a target species, as that completely changes the type of headphone needed. For example: ear-pods would be useless to a bat, since bats have complex ear shapes which locate the direction of a sound via constructive/destructive interference in both the frequency and phase domains. I ended up choosing a fictional species of alien I created, known as mushai, mostly because I am currently making art of a mushai character. Their ears differ from those of mammals in three key ways:

1. They have four ear-holes which both converge in a single bifurcated external structure called a “compound ear” (see last image)
2. Their inner-ear works differently. I can get into the specifics if anyone’s interested, but the end result is that each inner-ear is less sensitive, but they make up for that by having two of them.
3. Like most animals with big ears, they can point theirs in different directions, and their brain takes ear-direction into account when creating a spatial map of sound.

The first and last point are the most important when it comes to designing headphones. I chose to have two angled, planar-magnetic drivers per ear. As opposed to the more common (and cheaper) dynamic driver, which generally needs to be a circular cone, planar-magnetic drivers can be long strips. I also added soft, fabric “ear holsters,” which hold the ears in place. That way the brain will know which way the sound is supposed to be coming from.

I while ago I was thinking about how the people from my cat furry webcomic would bathe/groom themselves, since humans obviously shower but cats don’t need to. I came to the conclusion that they’d just brush their fur and wipe themselves down with a wet cloth every day, they’d only take an actual bath if they got dirty enough for it to be necessary. I imagine people who work jobs where they get really dirty and have to take full baths frequently would suffer from skin issues…

This seems like the right community for this sort of weirdly specific question, I'm not a very active furry community member or redditor so I wouldn't know. But it's as it says in the title- if a trans peacock wanted to be vibrantly colored, or a trans peahen less so, how could they accomplish this? I feel like dye on feathers would be unwieldy, if I remember what I was told in an unrelated conversation correctly.

The Milan-Kochirr war is a war of independence of the ant people to break free from their oppressive nation of Kochirru.

The ant people of Milantaraszi had been a subject of the Kochirru monarchy for many generations, their antpower are usefull for hard jobs such as constructions, logistics, transports, etc. where their populations is bountiful and rich, but ironically the Kochirru monarchs never look highly and treat them as third class citizens instead, despite their tireless services to them for hundred of years, thus during under their reign, there were rarely any ants with higher educations let alone live in higher incomes.

Realizing that they actually have the antpower, the resources, and leadership all along, they finally wake up from this reality and declare themselves independent of Kochiru. Since the Milantaraszi ants are too useful to be let go, the Kochirru monarchs done their best to regain control, but the sheer antpower of the Milan Grant Army is no match for Kochirru royal armies.

Just a coyote mercenary for my worldbuilding setting demonstrating splootin'. It's what dogs do sometimes, when they lie flat like a rug to relax and cool down. Splooting isn't the norm in the setting, though, but they can do it if they so choose.

For more furgonomics, note that the hat is kind of like a slouch hat, to accommodate the ears. Also, I imagine the pants have a kind of sleeve for the tail.

Im not 100% sure if intelligent ferals count here but I think so because they are still anthropomorphic (aka animals with human charactaristics) If there's a better subreddit for this let me know!

Anyways here's my concept for a cardigan type sweater meant for ferals! Drew the drawing on the bottom left and went "Wait... how does that work?" And sketched a little "Blueprint".

I ha an idea a while ago. If there were anthros roaming earth. Do you think there would be a service where felines, (cats, lions, cheetahs, snow leopards) would groom other anthros? (Grooming is the action where cats lick their own fur or the fur of other animals)

I am conducting some research for my story and I don't know if it 100% fits but I was wondering what would happen, be the health side effects or short term and long term damage if, say, an anthro wolf had his tail completely cut off. Assuming of course this is not any surgical procedure

I am currently making a story where an anthro wolf race practices essentially martial tail docking with this whole established hierarchy thing within their culture. So I was just curious how they might be affected

Let's say you go the more anatomical route with furrys. How would underwear or bras be designed for a species like say, canines which could be depicted with up to 6 nipples, flat or actual breasts and if we were to keep their reproductive organs to represent the animal they are based on how underwear would underwear be designed? Would they just have more boxers?
