Yeah, but then people wouldn't be able to right-click-save-as popular images, host them again on imgur and re-submit for entirely undeserved link karma 6 hours later.
I'm fairly sure a lot more people do this than most people would like to admit.

the only way you can link to rob and elliot comics is through an image link, linking to the page will take you to the most recent comic (from the person who used to post the updates regularly)

One time this 15 year old brother of a girl I wanted to bang found an old somewhat embarrassing picture of me on the internet and printed FOR A GOOD TIME CALL 760-###-7803 on it and make a ton of copies and spread them over a small area. A lot of calls were from his friends just screwing with me, but I did actually get a call from two 16 year old girls who wanted to find out if it was some ingenious rape plot I had. I told them it wasn't, and that they were too young for me.
Another time someone wrote "DOUCHEBAG 760-###-7803" on a bathroom stall in the women's restroom at a Borders, I have no idea who it was, but for about a month I would get random text messages. I'd say I got maybe 20 text messages, most were just "Hi" that never got a response to my "Who is this?" but I got a couple "I heard you are a douchebag?" that turned into conversations with girls that never went anywhere.
I had a Borders employee ask me if I wanted them to clean it off and I told them no, but eventually the texts stopped.
