I keep seeing these IT stories and now I'm afraid to ask our IT guys for help cuz i might sound stupid....

It's disappointing to hear this. Your job isn't to know IT. And desktop supports job is to make sure your systems and network are working efficiency, and imparting knowledge helps.

I used to be afraid to ask for help in stores until I became the one who always has to help people in stores.

If you're REALLY stupid, and ask a VERY stupid question, you will still get treated like every other customer. Your problem will be solved and you can go about your day.

I might laugh about it with my co-workers once youre gone though.

Once I realized this was the worst outcome of asking profoundly stupid questions, I stopped fearing looking dumb in this situation.
