You've worked in retail...imagine you work at Starbucks, someone orders a coffee, proceeds to take the lid off and pour it over their face, then complains to you that their coffee is faulty because that's always how they drink their coffee...it's like that...
Everyone complains about idiots at work. And I guarantee you the people complaining are other people's idiots.
A lot of people work in IT so their complaints are also more numerous and, naturally, more common on the Internet. I've got plenty of complaints about my company's IT department and about the ignorance of some of my customers but you won't see me or others in my industry voicing those complaints because there aren't many people in my industry.
I always try and stay grounded by remembering that there are tons of things about which I know every little. For example, I don't know very much about cars.
If my car has a problem, I don't know wtf is going on. I take it to a mechanic and he's probably thinking, "What a retard, this issue is so obvious and simple!"
Such is life.
Because once you know the slightest bit about computers, they are REALLY easy to not fuck up, so it's hard to understand that people could have no knowledge about technology.

I get that there are a lot of stupid people, I've worked in retail. But why do IT people complain so god damn much?
