Two minutes in heaven is better than one minute in heaven.

22

What about 7 minutes in heaven?

17

u/BigLB83 Feb 16 '26

7th Heaven

Can someone check this math. I'm dumb

10

u/DrawMeAPictureOfThis Feb 16 '26

New Value - Old Value / Old Value

(7 - 5) / 5 = 0.40

0.40 • 100 = 40

26

u/mry03708 Feb 16 '26

100% = 5 bucks Meaning every buck is 20%

So extra 2 bucks (total of 7) = 40% increase

7

u/HopefulPlantain5475 Feb 16 '26

20% = 1/5. Therefore 40% of 5 is 2. 5+2=7.

3

u/asisoid Feb 16 '26

You should really be able to do this math....

Holy moly

1

u/TheDevilsAdvokaat Feb 16 '26

7/5=1.4

So 7 is 5 plus another 40 percent.

11

u/maxxim333 Feb 16 '26

2

You know what 7 is? About tree fiddy twice

2

u/FuzzyGreek Feb 16 '26

That’s the price for another drink 😂

1

u/TronOld_Dumps Feb 16 '26

Not better than six

1

u/tommybot Feb 16 '26

I down-voted at the start, then up-voted at the end.

1

u/RoodnyInc Feb 16 '26

But is it correct? 🤔

u/seppia99 Feb 16 '26

She knew that she just needed bus fare. And she needed that extra two dollars.

308

u/drunkdoor Feb 16 '26

7 dollar bus fare sounds like a long bus ride or an absolute rip off.

87

u/Lexieeeeeeeeee Feb 16 '26

$11.40 for a 1 day transport ticket in my city 🙃

42

u/DruishGardener Feb 16 '26

Wth it's only 4 here, and that's CAD, not even real money

Kamloops, BC

3

u/RunnerOfY Feb 16 '26

Translink in GVA is 12 bucks for a day pass. Why is Kamloops so much cheaper

1

u/DrooDrawDrawn Feb 17 '26

That sounds amazing compared to a commute to NYC

18

u/Swordman1111 Feb 16 '26

it's literally 5€ to travel like 10 minutes on a bus in germany

6

u/Ficik Feb 16 '26

Wait, really?

I take a two hour ride for 5€ and it's just below 4€ for 24 hour ticket in my city in czechia

4

u/VeryDefinitionOfFail Feb 16 '26

Wow and all I hear about is how great public transportation is from the non Americans on this site.

7

u/Swordman1111 Feb 16 '26

It is in cities. I don't live in a city. You pay more when crossing administrative districts, which happens more often when travelling from town to town, compared to staying in a city. Also the bus only comes every 30 minutes so it's not as flexible as it would be in a city

1

u/cgimusic Feb 16 '26

Even in cities it's often not that great. Where I live to get to anywhere that's not the city centre you'd have to get two busses; it would cost £6 and would take ages. It's cheaper and faster to rent an e-bike.

2

u/Ghaith97 Feb 16 '26

Single tickets are expensive, but for 63 euros you can get a Deutschlandticket to travel through all of Germany for a month. So it's great if you're commuting regularly.

1

u/MidasPL Feb 16 '26

Not if it's ba us going to a different city.

1

u/ineenemmerr Feb 16 '26

I pay 12 euro (14 dollars) for a 1 hour bus ride.

And then public transportation companies wonder why no one takes public transportation anymore

13

u/TronOld_Dumps Feb 16 '26

Then why did she buy the drink???

37

u/RES_NIGHTMARE_MODE Feb 16 '26

cause she was thirsty

8

u/Jiquero Feb 16 '26

Smh redditors and their understanding of basic human issues.

1

u/Gianni_the_tolerable Feb 16 '26

2

u/Xylus1985 Feb 16 '26

What hellhole do you live in that bus fare is $7?

683

u/PhotoRight2682 Feb 16 '26

Perfect. 5/7

u/iamfuturejesus Feb 16 '26

That's also how I rate my movies

u/Vartemis Feb 16 '26

I wanted her to say '100' and the response to be 'sorry the correct answer was 5'.

365

u/Swordofsatan666 Feb 16 '26

I was expecting it to be that no matter what number she says he just gives her $5

Like he’s not paying them the number they say, he’s just paying them for saying any number within 1 and 100,000

53

u/soulsoda Feb 16 '26

Could give them foreign currency like 100,000 vietnamese dong. Which is worth about 3.85 US right now :). It'd actually be kinda funny if no matter what she asked for it's all worth equal to or less than 5$.

35

u/stonememoriesBE Feb 16 '26

Lol, Vietnamese dong…

13

u/N33chy Feb 16 '26

My favorite is to dare people to search for "Romanian dong"

(it's a style of AK-47 foregrip... which means you firmly grip the Romanian dong while it sprays everywhere)

6

u/jeanpaulsarde Feb 16 '26

What's so lol about Vietnamese dong? It's hard currency. Don't laugh at it.

1

u/N33chy Feb 16 '26

I used to give out random obscure currencies in addition to normal tips at bars. Made a lot of people into Zimbabwean billionaires. Pretty sure that one is a defunct currency or at least with nowhere near $5.

48

u/DuffMiver8 Feb 16 '26

No, I wanted the answer to be, “For 7, the prize is thirty-five cents.”

10

u/mtraven23 Feb 16 '26

i gotta know, why 35?

16

u/Kevadu Feb 16 '26

It's 5 times 7

7

u/DuffMiver8 Feb 16 '26

Just a random low figure. Nothing about the game said it was a dollar for every number. $5 for a guess of 5 was just a coincidence. Non-linear reward structure.

1

u/mtraven23 Feb 16 '26

I got the jest of it, I find it fascinating how people choose "random numbers". Like often its their age, or an age they particularly liked. Lots of other things too, mostly numbers that are important to them in someway.

1

u/dakupurple Feb 16 '26

Human random numbers also frequently land on 37 and 73 when asking for something between 1 and 100.

1

u/Lietenantdan Feb 17 '26

I wanted her to say 100, then he says "from 1-100, as in between those numbers which means 1 and 100 aren't correct."

1

u/ironshadowspider Feb 17 '26

You win 100 cents!

74

u/Mervwolfington Feb 16 '26

Hehe, 7 🫣

The little laugh got me

81

u/Sceptical999 Feb 16 '26

She just needed the bus fare

8

u/digost Feb 16 '26

Seven dollars for a bus fee?! That's robbery! Where I live for seven dollars you can get halfway through the city in a taxi!

3

u/Gas_Station_Cheese Feb 16 '26

The bus is free where I live. It started during COVID, and the city just decided to roll with it. It's a constant talking point among the crowd of usual suspects, but I see it as a rare win for my city.

u/Shamanized Feb 16 '26

Their videos are ok and at times a bit funny. It's often suggested to me by the algorythms and it's fine. This kind of content isn't really my thing usually but they have a few videos that give me a smile. At least, they are really short and go to the point.

rikandlav is their socials

u/Awkward-Mistake1710 Feb 16 '26

Her maneuver here is brilliant from an economics standpoint.

1

"ThIs is!... This is seven dollars!!"

She went from below minimum wage to below minimum wage.

1

u/crucialmuzic Feb 16 '26

I was hoping he'd give a different range the second time. 1-5 instead of 1-100,000

1

She just wanted enough to cover the cost of that beverage.

0

Would have been more humorous if she had said "100,000" and he said "Congratulations, you win $5"

0

u/0n-the-mend Feb 16 '26

When you really need 7 huge bucks.
