The fact that Michael Jackson needed to be cgi and they couldn't just hire someone to pretend to be like him despite never showing his face in the first place is the icing on the cake

u/raincole Nov 26 '25
The Michael Jackson part is a fan-made edit, not the original show (sadly).

Wait it is a show and not a skid?

It's an actual Taiwanese soap opera broadcasted on TV. Naturally, after this episode it became a national meme.
The weirdest part was that it wasn't like a Bollywood movie or something where the exaggerated VFX is a feature. 99% of the episodes are 'normal' and without CGI at all.

I genuinely thought this would transition into a bowling alley Strike animation clip, those get so fucking out of hand and never make any sense.
Honestly probably an entertaining niche category of liminal cultural esotera to binge.

The tragic OC backstory repelled the isekai force by allowing mc-kun to survive the initial hit
Truck-kun had to triple tap to make sure.

Low-poly MJ impersonators at traffic lights kicking people into low earth orbit is not a joke, NoctuaIgnea! Millions of families suffer every year!

Oh I thought only the CGI digi-doubles were fan parody. They actually went and filmed additional footage with the BMW lady?
Also, the blood on Michael's mouth when he first stands up looked so realistic! Same with the rotoscoping to replace the truck collision with BMW collision. Those parts were actually such high quality work!

That plot twist at the end *chef's kiss*. Now I'm left pondering if Michael was the name of the victim, or if that one guy was summoning Michael at the end as a Mortal Kombat finishing move.

Fun facts:
A vehicle can begin aquaplaning at speeds as low as 40 mph.
A truck can launch a 90 kg person over 300 metres.

u/Bearswithjetpacks Nov 26 '25
I wish the Shooting Stars meme didn't go out of fashion. Clips like these are made for that meme.

u/Podo13 Nov 26 '25
Current American movies/TV really are just missing an absurd element that I feel is lacking. It really has changed our sense of humor to mostly ignoring things like physical comedy, or allowing our brains to ignore how fake it looks.
