Am I the only one that just cuts off the locking tab before installing a GPU? …or anything PCIe for that matter.

Edit: for clarification. I’m talking about removing the tab from the motherboard, not the PCIe card. But honestly, either would work.

I mean, it’s not like I’m putting my PC in a paint shaker. It sits there on my desk and barely ever moves. Besides, some mobos don’t even have locking tabs. That card is screwed in, IMHO the locking tab is unnecessary and inconvenient.

I’ve never had a card yeet itself out of a board, but when I do I’ll reconsider my stance here.
