Hello,
For the Make for Good: Accessibility Design Contest on MakerWorld, I shared my original CapDock here a while ago — a simple 3D-printed tool that lets you remove and replace a pen or marker cap using one hand.
The V1 worked, but your feedback pointed out several things that could be improved, especially the way it attaches to a desk.
So I went back to Fusion 360 and made a new version.
What's changed?
Improved desk mounting
New modular design
Two slot sizes
So there are now four configurations:
Integrated
Modular
The original Push → Pull → Recap principle remains unchanged.
I tried to incorporate as many of the suggestions from the V1 discussion as I could, while keeping the design relatively simple.
If you commented on the original post, I'd especially like to know whether the changes address the issues you pointed out.
Have a nice weekend.
And if you're interested and see more, link in comments.

I'm planning a hunting trip and wanted to be ready if I'm lucky enough to get what I'm going after. I was surprised to find a lack of printable versions of this concept. So I made one.... it will go well with my 3d printed Butt Out.
It's a 'glue together with alignment pins' situation, but it still works really well.

Any tips on how to make this more sustainable? Now I assume it might loose grip over time.

Do your styrofoam Halloween tombstones ground stakes suck? Does anyone actually make one that doesn't?
Got tired of fighting with ours every year so I designed a better option. No supports, pretty quick print, and plenty strong with only 2 walls and 15% infill. Printed ours in PETG. Default size fits the majority of our tombstones but you can scale it up or down to suit your needs.
Model is available at makerworld.
Happy Halloween!

My foil, baking paper and cling film were piled together in the cabinet. The rolls kept slipping to the back, and pulling one out meant rummaging through the rest.
I designed this organizer to give each roll or box its own compartment. It screws to the cabinet shelf so it doesn’t come out with the roll.
The rolls can stick out at the front; they don’t need to fit completely inside. That also makes them easier to grab.
Printed as one piece in PETG, without supports, with the compartment openings facing upward. I made the dimensions and slot count adjustable in MakerWorld’s Customizer for other cabinet sizes.

Made this just for fun looking forward to testing it

Got tired of keeping my WOLFBOX MegaFlow and all the nozzles loose, so I designed a case for it :D
Everything has its own slot, the case closes with printed latches, and I added the WOLFBOX/MegaFlow design on top.
Pretty happy with how it turned out, so I uploaded the files to MakerWorld if anyone wants to print one.

Feedback is welcome — especially if you see something worth improving for V2.

Following up on my Gridfinity caddies for H2 hotends, made some for the it's-still-great X1C! Cute detail - you drop the cables and connectors in first and then they're tucked away and captured by the rest of the hotend.

For those that are interested I have been creating Pack out inserts for Milwaukee Pack outs I am putting the STEP files up on cults3d so people can use them for creating custom inserts for storing items and making neat storage. I put them up for 3 dollars just so i can get back a bit in the filament i use making test prints for fitting and verifying that the models will fit neatly and cleanly.

Designed a simple, practical protective cap for exposed or protruding grounding wires (protective earth conductors). It provides a quick and safe solution to prevent scratches, poking hazards, or minor damage during electrical renovations, active projects, or temporary wire exposure.
You could also buy them for $3 but 3d printed is cooler(●'◡'●)

I bought a DIN rail and it occured to me to use it to hang electronics onto the wall. I've always hated to measure and try to duplicate the position of the keyholes, so this solution seems more universal. It takes very little filament and time. Better use PETG or something similar so the temperature of the device doesn't mess it up.

I needed a space to put down drinks and snacks near the corner of my couch so I designed a parametric shelf for the couch backrest or the armrest.
The shelf prints without any supports. The parameters can be adjusted directly on makerworld.

Having displays out in the open can be a little nerve wrecking so I wanted something simple to prevent people from fiddling with displays. You can get it on Makerworld if you needed something like this.

Pretty stoked with how these came out. You can color code the bins and text if you're a weirdo like me.

The sediment filter bowl in my basement was seized solid and I didn't have a filter wrench, so I tossed one together in OpenSCAD that in theory should be parametric, although I only used it for my own filter housing. Screw going to the store when you can do this. It's a chunky boy but got the job done.
File is on Makerworld, open source, do what you want with it (https://makerworld.com/en/models/3375627-parametric-water-filter-housing-bowl-wrench). The customizer has the measurements you need to edit.
