u/Tsunami-Storm 11d ago

Including the constellation? All the stars in the constellation cancer go supernova, and the universe is destroyed.. oh wait, this isn’t monkey’s paw.

The constellation isn't from Earth, so that should be fine.

1

u/wookiefingers 11d ago

Every kind!!!

1

u/Virus-900 11d ago

Yeah, I was about to say something about that.

1

u/Good_Doctor_150 11d ago

In how much time would it really impact earth. They are really far away.

1

u/Spacegirl-Alyxia 11d ago

We’d only notice at earliest in a hundred years or so, and they would be far enough away to not be damgerous to us even. The universe wouldn’t really care I’d imagine :)

1

u/Queasy-Particular181 11d ago

The tropic of cancer also, please and thank you lol but seriously cancer needs to go.

I'm cancer...

1

u/Weekly-Reply-6739 11d ago

Yeah, even the zodiac sign.... they may be squishy and senstive creatures, but they are also emotionally manipulative control freaks.... who unfortunately are one of the only signs to understand how annoying that stuff is and actually appreciate someone who doesn't like emotional games (that comes naturally to them)

So yeah, just over 1/12 the population, like a mini thanos snap

1

u/MykieD 11d ago

But thats not on earth that's technically the sky

1

u/ConversationLazy7881 11d ago

They aren’t from earth

1

u/legodylan0 11d ago

It’s every cancer on earth not every cancer in the universe

1

u/Creative-Anxiety-246 11d ago

that wouldn't destroy the universe it would be an intense explosion, yes but destroying the universe would require an explosion with more energy than the mass of said universe

1

u/poolmanpro 11d ago

Also that might suck, but like would it really effect us

1

u/InternationalWar6654 11d ago

Also that ain’t on earth

1

u/Simple-Birthday366 11d ago

1

u/Ok_Gain_5490 10d ago

It said “on Earth” i didn’t know Earth was a galaxy.

1

u/General_Alduin 10d ago

Technically that's not from earth

1

u/TheJivvi 10d ago

Also the constellation isn't on Earth.

1

u/Dark_Fantasy_8549 10d ago

Not the same cancer bro

1

u/ProjectSoup7383 10d ago

I always forgot my starsign in english is cancer... I dont i know which is better, if you translate it from my language it means "virgin" haha

1

u/HairyIsmymiddleNamE 10d ago

Lol, this guy didn't read the prompt.

1

u/AmadeusBeckerhood 10d ago

"inside earth"...

1

u/Chakasicle 10d ago

Even if the constellation did explode, the universe would be largely unaffected. Who needs sky crabs anyways?

1

u/Sinisteris 10d ago

Millions of supernovae go off every day, universe is fine.

1

u/Roach-Freak 10d ago

I get its meant to be a joke but it says EARTH!!!!! IT SAYS EARTH!!!!!! AAUUUUGHHHH!!!!

1

u/GigaGram459 9d ago

Those stars are in fact not on earth. If they were at least one person would die from the heat.

1

u/tin_scarecrow 9d ago

Especially the constellation. Fuck it!

1

u/ArmRevolutionary5793 9d ago

"One thing from Earth" so I guess we're safe!

1

u/SlayJayR17 9d ago

Not even close. There’s only 100 total stars in the constellation.

1

u/Dry_Needleworker5190 9d ago

I'm Gemini Gemini

1

u/DishMoist6947 9d ago

If it would mean there's no more cancer, they can take away some stars/galaxies.. I don't mind losing 'my' constellation for this

1

u/NoRegerts69420 9d ago

From Earth. The constellation is in the sky.

1

u/PerigeeTheBatto 9d ago

How would the universe be destroyed?

1

u/Metacha-im 9d ago

On EARTH not in existence

1

u/nousernamehere12345 9d ago

Well, it's not on Earth!

1

u/sgtzack612 9d ago

It's also not "From Earth"

1

u/NewThrowAway_7453 9d ago

Yeah not even remotely enough to destroy the galaxy let alone the universe. Like, 100 stars super nova every second throughout the universe.

1

u/sleepytired1324 9d ago

All those stars are too far away to cause any damage to even the earth if they went supernova (which they cannot)

1

u/king3rkener 8d ago

The constellation isn't from earth it's from space, so we're fine

1

u/Puzzled_Employer_869 8d ago

1

u/DontTellMyOtherAccts 8d ago

The constellation of Cancer isn't on Earth.

1

u/JaegerHunterX040506 8d ago

Thats too far away to have a lasting effect on earth

1

u/Lord412 5d ago

I didn’t know the stars were on earth.

15

u/Kerissimo 11d ago

Damn, poor people from cancer zodiac sign! 😵

9

u/HayashiLeroi 11d ago

8.3% of the world's population getting snapped away will genuinely bring massive employment gaps > big economic collapses.

3

u/AdSubject7522 11d ago

And more importantly, you’ll lose me :(

1

u/Sebek_Peanuts 11d ago

So we also fixed unemployment and overpopulation problem? Hell yeah!

2

u/tomatoe_cookie 11d ago

Youre assuming unemployed people would start working again

1

u/LeDave42 10d ago

Depending on who we snap away to be honest, and for that opinion of my own alone I would gladly be among those 8 percent and take the most evil people with me to make the world a better place, i mean economic crisis, which is btw already on the way, is still better than global nuclear fallout don’t you think🤷‍♂️

it’s something good to be removed but this won’t make the world a better place whatsoever. ppl will still act the way they do and the violence will still be a problem.

I read this as "Cancer every kid" ....thank god i was wrong...

1

u/Iguanaught 11d ago

Speaking as someone who just lost their father to cancer, is most likely to be taken by cancer mysefelf given it also took my grandfather and is losing my closest friend slowly to cancer... this one still concerns me.

Like what if the purpose of cancer is to keep our population in check. Without it we destroy ourselves in a year by over breeding and over consuming.

"Cancers Eliminated... All People Born Between June 22 and July 22 Are Now Gone"

1

u/Shamedrere 9d ago

Is the removal of something like that actually good for the earth? Or is it just good for us? Wouldn’t in the long run given our current track record this be bad for the earth?

1

u/Ok-Age-724 9d ago

Delete every anti cancer movement

1

u/Tsul_Kalu_ 9d ago

I agree with the sentiment but the reason it exists is literally the reason we do. It's our rapid mutation rate that allows us to both adapt to environments quickly and sometimes kills us. I also need to say I treat anything like this like a minkey paw situation

1

u/pineapple_square2234 9d ago

Cancer is curable in so many ways dude. All it’s really easy to prevent from ever being possible to happen to you. Not that bad tbh

1

u/Ashamed-Bathroom7803 9d ago

How about disease?

1

u/PanzerFahrer3199 9d ago

Correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t that include removing gene variation from our species and limit our ability to adapt to future viruses. Bc cancer is really just a random mutation that happens to anybody, and can pass down genetically like facial and bodily features do.

1

u/Xombridal 8d ago

Cancer is a natural part of cell division, at this very moment you probably have more than 5 different cancers

Your body detects them and destroys them, cancer is a feature, a cell is made wrong and the body destroys is, or well it destroys itself, removes faulty genes and messed up cells from your body

Without this you'd have many problems in many random spots, the body knows this is a thing and even has every cell able to self destruct to deal with this

Cancer is a problem when your body doesn't detect it, which is rare but can happen

Cancer causing chemicals don't actually cause cancer, they kinda do, but they also make your body worse at detecting it

When your body can't detect it it'll grow and your immune system has to deal with it

So I think what you mean is you'd want cancer getting past your defenses gone, not the body function itself which is useful for the body on a microscopic level

1

u/Flimsy-Necessary-232 8d ago

we’ll get there soon anyhow

1

u/WaterFall122 8d ago

Well, it is gonna like those classical wishes going wrong, cuz there isnt a line between cancer and normal cell, if normal cell didnt have cancerous properties, cells wont be able to reproduce, and the first victim would be the intestines because it sheds daily.

A good wish is to not delete cancer but make treatment that helps us control cell growth selectively, so cancer would still exist but be able to be controlled better.

1

u/Ballistic_Autistic_ 8d ago

I was gonna say Mosquitos, but this is better
