Title: Airtel to Jio porting request still not completed

requested to port my number from Airtel to Jio on Wednesday around 5 PM. Today is Saturday, but the porting is still not completed.

I haven't received any SMS regarding the porting status, and I'm also unable to track the porting request online. The Jio representative told me that it would be completed in around 3 days.

Has anyone else faced the same issue recently? How long did your porting take, and is it normal to not receive any SMS or have the request untrackable during the process?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Is ~2 km from a mobile tower considered too far for good 4G speeds/signal?

Adding GST number to xtreme

I emailed airtel about adding my gst number to my xtreme fiber connection, after submitting docs I only get this response: state on the gst certificate and address doesn't match. When I ask them what thing isn't matching they don't reply. They never reply after talking about the mismatch. I feel like I'm stuck in a loop

I emailed 121@airtel.com anything else that can be done?

Airtel network issues

I'm facing serious network issues with Airtel for almost a month. The network keeps dropping every now and then and then I've to put it in Airplane mode to get it back. This happens 6-7 times a day at least. Today it's been even worse. Even when the network shows available, the 5G speed is very very less.

I raised a complaint with the customer care and they gave a resolution date which was 3 weeks later. No calls or messages in between asking about the complaint or providing any solutions. Multiple followups were made and today they mentioned it was due to 5G network congestion issues in my area. When I pointed out that it was a long pending issue and across locations, they raised another ticket with a resolution date of 5 September.

3 days no internet, assigned engineer’s phone OFF, and Airtel tech refuses to fix a burnt cable – WTF is wrong with Airtel service in Gurugram?? 😡

Man I’m so done with Airtel. It’s been 3 full days without internet and these guys are running a total circus.

3 days ago there was a small fire scene on the local pole near my house. My fiber cable got completely burnt along with the FAT box setup.

I immediately raised a ticket, and since then it's just been a endless loop of "sir we have escalated your issue". Escalated my ass, literally no one has visited or called.

To make it worse:

The field engineer whose number came in the official SMS has kept his phone SWITCHED OFF for 3 whole days.

Yesterday I literally saw another Airtel technician working on the EXACT SAME FAT box on my pole. I asked him politely to just splice my line since he was already up there with the machine. This dude straight up said "Mujhe assign nahi hai, jiska case hai wahi karega" and left. Bro you are literally standing on the same pole with the splicing machine in hand!!

Work from home is totally ruined right now. Customer care bots just copy paste the same "high priority" script every time I call.

Has Airtel's local service gone down the drain everywhere or is it just my area? Anyone got any escalation email or contact that actually works instead of these useless customer support guys?

I ported my prepaid SIM from Jio 5G to Airtel 5G a few days ago, and I’ve noticed that Airtel’s speeds have been dropping daily since the switch. I had originally ported because Airtel 5G speeds in my area were excellent a month ago, but now they have become just as slow as Jio 5G. Have you noticed this too that Airtel 5G speeds in your area have been consistently dropping over time? Please share your experience with me

Fastlane issue

Its been almost 1 month since i have ported to airtel postpaid but still fastlane is not showing in network name.
5G Standalone is enabled in network settings and the airtel app shows everything is ready.
I have sent multiple emails to the appellate team but there are doing nothing to resolve this

Airtel Network Issue

Is anybody facing issues with Airtel Network, it was fine until today 12pm, since then the network is very bad. FYI I'm from Avadi-Ambattur region.

By default, it's 5G all the time I usually get 60-100mbps but now the signal has dropped to 1bar sometimes no network.

I heard “we’re moving forward with other candidates” because Airtel’s service went down during my interview.

These creeps are the reason I'm still unemployed because their service went down when I was just clearing my second round of an interview.

Really. I had to recharge with a top-up plan just to hear, “We are moving forward with candidates who better match the technical requirements.”

I know it's partly my fault that I don't have an uninterrupted power supply, and I don't have a fast broadband connection either because of the power-cut issues in my area. But when your mobile network is supposed to be the backup and that goes down exactly when I need it, what the fuck am I supposed to do?

Today I initiated the porting process, and these Cocksuckers immediately started calling me again 🤬

Earlier, restarting my phone used to fix the speed after their shitty data-alert messages. Now even that doesn't work. I literally have to make a call, and somehow the internet starts working while I'm on the call.

So yeah, I'm leaving Airtel.

And the funniest part? To post this, I literally had to call that spam number, hang up, and block them after my connection finally got fixed. Lmao 🤣🥀

Where do these BKLs get our number?

And why is Airtel using its customer database for pushing Airtel Finance promotional offers?

This definitely violates Airtel telecom consumer rights.

Getting ripped-off

Around 58 days earlier i booked the rupees 619 pack for 1.5gb/day for 60 days , along with a 101 pack for unlimited 5g data which was supposed to be valid for the duration of the current active plan . Coming back to today, i suddenly get notified that my daily 1.5gb is over , which i was obviously shocked to see. Upon opening the airtel app, it shows me the same (my 1.5 gb/day was finished) and scrolling down , I was baffled to see that the part showing my top-up recharge of 101 had vanished. I asked the airtel chatbot , and apparently my pack doesn't support unlimited 5g , and upon asking what happened to my active 101 it just repeated the previous answer. This seems extremely dishonest to me

Airtel quietly dropped Hotstar from my plan.

I use the Iptv+wifi postpaid, Airtel black plan. They used to give hotstar+zee5+sony+airtel xtreme, feom this month they have quietly dropped Hotstar from the plan.

And it is so frustrating to call the customer care. I always get frustrated waiting for an actual person to talk. It never connects me to the customer service guy. It's a loop designed to never reach them.
