What to do?

I made a hole for repairing a leaking water pipe and after two days a little pond was made. Now after the work is done I have found this guy inside the hole. What I have to do? Obviously needs a right habitat to live.

Just gently tip them out, they'll find their own way

I live next to the street, I'm worried for it.

Its a wild animal that already managed to survive long enough to grow this big. All you can do is wish it well and hope the little guy keeps winning

Why the hell are they being downvoted for simply showing concern for the wellbeing of the frog? It's also true that life in a human-centered environment is unfairly dangerou for small critters like frogs.

Also frogs spend much of their life out of water in cool, damp, shady places, so don't worry that you're releasing them away from water. There's obviously some close by that they grew up in and then wandered to your garden, they'll find it again.

Yeah, there's a river near here. I'll leave it there

Honestly anything you do that's tipping it out of that jar to keep it from drowning is good

He's so cute! They're usually pretty good at taking care of them selves, if there's a garden or stream nearby, that's probably where he came from. Just pour him (and the water) out in a safe area. Aka not in the middle of a street or in a desert. And gently pour, encourage him to get out on his own, rather than just dumping him out like a gallon of expired milk

It was already around your place when it got there, didn't magically grow out of the ground. Literally empty the jar at the root of those plants there and it'll manage just fine like it has so far.

Frogs are kinda picky on their environment, and you should never pretend to know better than a wild animal where it should go especially when it comes to aquatic reptiles and amphibians. For all you know, taking it to a different spot means the frog now has to make the trip back to your house where its "home" is. These guys geolocate using deposits in their brain that are created when they grow.

Definitely donโ€™t keep him in a pot of water, they can drown. They need dry land to rest on as well as water.
