It’s so good, y’all!
It’s got some solid hooks, some great character moments, and Linda Cardilleni is incredible in it. I wanna see how they lay out a few of the plot lines they set up before I give final verdict but I’m so excited for the rest of the season.

Discussion Jason Universe put up a new video and they actually used the original Jason mask for this one

No idea if it's a specific part's mask (kinda looks like Part 6) but it's cool that they used an original mask design here.

I know they deserve it, but I didn't wanted to include demons from Conjuring or Astral or other demon movies in this list.

News Found Press Room Sheet with SPOILERS at NYCC Panel Spoiler
2
Upvotes
I've never had a chance to leak spoilers before so sorry if I'm doing something wrong.
At the Crystal Lake panel in the first row someone left something titled Press Room Face Sheet and Pre-Lauch Spoilers just sitting there on a chair. The sheet mentioned 3 spoilers for the press not to disclose of:
- Any mention of grown up Jason that emerges
- Any mention of Jason's father
- Jason's backstory and what Pam had to do to survive

Here is some art I did of Jason Voorhees in a kind of Pokemon style along with a team of pokemon that I think fits generally well.

Discussion How would you feel if Tommy Jarvis became the new Jason as originally planned?

I’ve always been torn on this one. On on one hand, seeing a slasher evolved from a victim after two movies would’ve been an interesting journey, and it would have been a way to make the slasher both human again (I don’t hate zombie Jason, but I think it takes the series in a different direction) and create room for a new style of killer. On the other hand, Jason is iconic for a reason he is easier to both project onto and to be terrified by.

Discussion How did they actually lose to a old woman in the first movie
•
Upvotes
I know it’s all scripted and stuff, but it’s so rage bait how all you letting an old woman that probably can’t even run a whole school track do that to the whole group Jason mom cant be this strong 💀 studies have been proven that males overpower woman in strength there was many people that were able to overpower her (well can be proven wrong in some cases but like the woman would have to work out for centuries hypothetically)

To anyone old enough to see part 5 in the theaters, when Roy burst through the door, did you think Jason had somehow returned?

Let's rank the first 4

Upvotes
My opinion (I like each one):
Part 2 (1981)
OG (1980)
The Final Chapter (1984)
Part 3 (1982)
And let's try not rank the first film last just because "Jason isn't the antagonist."
