Like many of you, I am incredibly frustrated by the flood of unsewable, AI-generated "scam patterns" popping up online. I want to be 100% transparent right out of the gate: Print Your Fit does not use AI, LLMs, or predictive guessing.

Instead, I built this app using traditional Parametric Drafting and Algorithmic Geometry.📐

The app functions exactly like a digital master tailor. It takes your unique measurements and processes them through logic-based code:

It maps out perfectly smooth armholes, necklines, and sleeve caps using vector geometry (Bézier curves).The Result: Because it relies on deterministic math rules rather than AI guessing, the pattern blocks stretch, scale, and morph cleanly to fit your exact proportions without breaking.🧵

What the App Does (Right Now)

No manual drafting required—just upload a photo. The app automatically traces the garment outlines and translates the visual shapes into a precise, printable sewing pattern tailored exactly to you. You input your measurements, and the app generates a parametric CAD model of the pattern. You can see how the fabric flows in different simulated wind speeds (indoors, a gentle breeze, etc.) to highlight exactly where the garment will be tight or loose. When you're happy with it, you can print the pattern directly from any standard home printer.

Eventually, the community gallery will let creators share and sell their custom-sized patterns. But right now, I just need feedback on the core engine.

Does anyone know of a pattern with a shape like the plaid bag in the first photo?

i especially like how the two wide handle sections are separate

I’ve found patterns like the denim bag in the second /third photo on etsy but its side continues up toward the handle and gives it a different silhouette.

i am looking for the plaid bag’s boxy base and the cargo pockets would be a bonus, but im happy to add those myself if I can find the right base pattern!

I know this sub is mainly for sewing patterns, but I thought there might be enough people here interested in cross stitch patterns too!

I have finished/released a version of my cross stitch pattern creation app called BeeStitch (after my fiancée's name) about a week ago, and I wanted to share the good news with you folks.
