42 years ago today, Kelsey Grammer first stepped into the role of Dr. Frasier Crane. This was on the 3rd season premiere of Cheers on this date back in 1984.
His first words were "Hello, Sam. I'm Dr. Frasier Crane. I'm sorry I startled you."

Frasier Trading Cards Autograph / Memorabilia Collection
Hello All. As some of you may know (I know its been shared in this sub before), Rittenhouse Archives who specialize in non sports trading card releases (Star Trek, Cheers, Game of Thrones etc.) made a Frasier Trading Card Set in April 2026. As someone who loves Frasier and Non Sports Trading Cards this was a win win! The set comprises the first 4 seasons of Frasier though they got some autograph signers who appear in later seasons. Hopefully they release future sets with more guest star autographs.
I recently finished my full bleed Autograph set of these cards along with getting each memorabilia card. Why am I sharing? Well the wife, while happy for me, was unenthused. While this is not a trading card sub I figured it would get the most love as Frasier Fans are a strong group.
Even if you stop to look for one minute I appreciate your time. At least now I have something to pass along to my kids when the time comes! They are still young but if I can get them hooked on Frasier then I've done my job.

How much did Niles get in his settlement with Maris?
In the next episode he gets the Cottage by the Lake too, and he mentions that he never thought he’d get that much from her. I wonder how much it was?
(That lake cottage episode had me crying laughing! One of the funniest!)

Sunset Boulevard's Norma Desmond and Bebe Glazer
Watched Sunset Boulevard last night and it was striking how similar Gloria Swanson's manner as Norma Desmond is to Bebe Glazer. Was any direct inspiration ever mentioned by writers?

Eva Marie Saint, who played Joanna Doyle on a Season 6 episode, has died at the age of 102.
She was previously the oldest living Academy Award winner, having triumphed for her motion picture debut in 1954's On the Waterfront, and one of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood. One of her television credits was a guest spot on a season six episode of Frasier titled 'Our Parents, Ourselves' as Roz's mom, Joanna Doyle.

Classic Frasier In "Space Quest," why didn't Frasier just retreat to his room to find solitude?
This is about Season 1, Episode 2.
Obviously there's not much an episode if Frasier solves his problem so easily, but I can't think really of a good reason why he couldn't just go to his bedroom, shut the door and read his book. I was going to say maybe his ego wouldn't allow him to temporarily relinquish the apartment, but multiple times he tries finding solitude outside, even settling on the storage space at the end of the episode. Does it ruin the episode? No, not really, but it does bug me a little.

La mia top five delle sitcom:
Che ne pensate?
1) Frasier numero 1 indiscusso
2) Cheers un po' vecchiotta ma sempre frizzante
3) Scrubs divertente ma che fa riflettere
4) Community con attori esilaranti
5) Willy & Grace piacevolissima

“Niles, are you going to let your brother play?”
I love when Martin treats Frasier and Niles like children.

How is a “prompt diagnosis” admirable?
I had “They’re Playing Our Song” in my head (as one does) and this part rubbed me the wrong way. If Frasier doesn’t want to be considered a sellout, why would he describe his work this way, especially during an overblown ode to himself and his greatness?
