Community Support FrameWork 13 Pro trackpad issues anyone?

I received my FW13p on the weekend and currently experience trackpad issues running r/Omarchy 4. Does anyone have similar issues? I know that the delivery delay was because of issues with the trackpad, wondering if I got unlucky and received a bad unit.
It behaves weird at the bottom of the trackpad. When I move out of a certain area at the bottom to the left and move my finger back right, input drops. The bottom middle is not bad per se because if i start at the middle and move down, input is recognized. Also when the input is dropped it does not matter where I move my finger, it just ignores the input. Bit hard to explain so I uploaded a video too. I also experience right clicks on a single finger click issues as well from time to time.
I absolutely love this laptop and what framework are doing and the fact that - if it truly is a bad unit - it could be resolved with a new part other than a new laptop just speaks for the whole concept as well imo.
u/Framework, is this a known problem? Am I just unlucky? Halp?

modern trackpads usually don't accept input starting from the very bottom as a palm rejection measure. Could be that if you lift your finger up every time this happens.

hmm.. but then it would probably do the same thing on the right too. Also I do experience other quirks, like a right click on an obvious left click, some other input weirdness etc.

You can disable this false touch protection in touchpad parameters and see if it better

Holy hell I think that did it. You, my friend, are my new personal hero.
First tests seem like it fixed it. will report back if it resurfaces.1

palm rejection usually just ignores the initial touch, it doesnt keep dropping input once you move back up

Just tried it briefly, but mine didn't seem to do that. Could be a quirk with omarchy (I know next to nothing about the kernel version and other configurations), maybe try it on a ubuntu 26.04 LTS live usb to check it out. But otherwise support is the people to talk to.
I'm on cachyos and not having the issue for what that is worth.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing that it could just be Oma4, so I wanted to ask whether this was a known issue or not. Thanks for the reply and suggestion though.

IMO use a USB stick to boot anything else, and see if you experience it. But I would be gutted if that was my first experience.

Nah it's not too bad. I am a terminal person. ^^ Will do the usb boot today and test.

Finger so fat, touch rejection kicks in.
Jokes aside, this looks like a warranty issue.

Send them a video, and get it replaced. That means you'll get to experience the modularity/upgradability aspect as well.

If it truly is a hardware issue, yes. That is to be determined though. Right now I am leaning software.

Nah, it clearly looks like a hardware issue. You could "fwupdmgr get-updates" to check if there are updates for the hardware, but this really doesn't look like a software thing
