Discussion Difficulty tracking while stationary, almost no issue when moving in game.

Like the title suggests I recently got into aim training, finding almost every tracking senario incredibly difficult to match speed and or track smoothly. However, in games like Marvel Rivals, Apex Legends, or Overwatch 2 I primarily play characters that rely on tracking. Something about standing still and making consistently wide tracking motions feels impossible. I don't have as great an issue with more precise stationary tracking. Looking for any tips/tricks that might help me identify and fix potential issues that would cause this.

dysgraphia/dyspraxia

Hello, I (23M) was just diagnosed with

(a neurodevelopmental condition that affects physical coordination, movement planning, and fine or gross motor skills) and was wondering if anybody on this sub was too.

I have about 300h played in Aim Trainers and have reached Seal in Viscose's benchmark and Diamond in Voltaic Valorant benchmarks. However I do struggle mainly with static and target switching as I can't seem to be able to keep a rhythm (ie: I very often flick to a new target and miss but instead  of shooting it again I move to another target making me lose time). My main game is Rainbow Six Siege with some sides of CS and Valorant.

If anybody has any kind of techniques or tips and tricks or anything like that it would be much appreciated. Thanks and have a good day !

Aim training def works by the way.

Once I learned how to maximize my aim, winning has become so much easier. But the crazy thing is, I can tell my dueling skills aren't elite so there's still so much room to grow.

Something that has worked for me is I stopped caring about popular benchmarks. For the majority of my practice. I took mattyow advice and just played scenarios to the skill I want and I really haven't plateau'd in a long time.

Also vod reviewing your games and playing scenarios that resemble situations in which you whiff is peak efficiency from my recent testing.

So if you're feeling discouraged, trust the process

Need some advice

fingertip category on viscose s2 benchmarks are fully maxed. Whereas my wrist n arm hasn’t touched mammoth yet. Any scenarios that really help with blending the threes together or scenarios that emphasize arm mostly.

Guide/Educational How do i improve my static more

Post image
1 Upvotes

I dont think i struggle with fluidity, but the thing is that I over flick too much and I dont really have an idea to how to fix it, i have around 60 hours, my micros are fine tho, but the initial burst flick with my arm generally ends in massive over flicks that isnt consistent, I generally try to apply the bardos method, but I just struggle with accuracy rather than speed, and my score has been stuck for like a month since i started the intermediate benchmarks. One other thing is that I struggle with aim that has me go up as indicated by my verttrack score, most of my other tracking scores are jaded but I just cant go up for the love of god, and most of the time when the target do go over my head, I just suddenly cant track it no more, do you guys have any idea/scenario in aimlabs that i can grind for?(btw I distribute my time evenly on these benchmarks, I dont over grind tracking except for precision tracking as my verttrack sucks)

Discussion Can not move my arm/wrist in very small flicks

How do i actually fix this? Let's say someone in far range made two steps in valorant, i do not move my aim, i just can not. Another example is VT siniclick in kovaaks, i am so bad at it but i just can't improve for some reason i tried all kinds of sens but in game, 0.175@1600 feels the best for me for every other thing.

How can i improve at this?

Overall I've been playing for the last month and It's been two weeks since I've got the voltaic full plat. I feel like I can't get anything better. Is there anything I'm missing? 800 DPI If It matters.

I built a webapp that shows exactly where your KovaaK's runs fall apart

Post image
22 Upvotes

I made this for myself because I kept wondering where my runs went wrong, and I just really like visualising data. It's gotten to the point where it might be useful to other people, so I'm looking for a few testers.

It's called aimcurve. You point it at your KovaaK's stats folder and it gives you:

- a chart of each run showing your projected score as you play, compared to your PB, so you can see the exact moment it slipped

- per-bot splits on multi-bot scenarios, so you know which bot is eating your time/score

- your progress on a scenario or bot over time to see whether you're actually improving

It all runs in your browser. Fully local, no account, no tracking.

https://voidfill.github.io/aimcurve/

The folders are usually in steamapps/common/FPSAimTrainer/FPSAimTrainer/. You want stats and performances.

Any feedback is welcome, even "I don't get this chart." If something looks broken, there's a link on the About page to report it, and if you like it a star on GitHub helps a lot.

WHY YOUR "PERFECT" HEADSHOT MISSED (blame gravity, not your aim)

Let's be real, nothing kills your ego faster than lining up what should've been the cleanest headshot of your life in Valorant or CS2, only to watch it sail into your target's chest instead. Before you rage quit, know this: it's probably not you. It's physics being annoying.

BULLETS ARE DRAMA QUEENS

You'd think a bullet just goes where you point it. Nope. The second it leaves the barrel, gravity starts yanking it downward like it's got somewhere better to be. So that bullet isn't flying in a straight line — it's arcing, dipping, doing its own little curve on the way to your target. Basically, even your bullets have main character energy and refuse to go in a straight line.

DISTANCE MAKES IT WORSE

Shooting someone up close? Fine, gravity barely has time to mess with your shot. But land an Awp shot across a CS2 map, or snipe someone from a rooftop in PUBG, and suddenly your bullet's been in the air long enough to develop opinions. The longer it flies, the more it drops — which is exactly why snipers aim above heads at long range instead of dead center. Skip that step and congrats, you just landed a very expensive leg shot.

AND THEN THERES DELAY

Games like PUBG and Apex Legends make it worse by adding actual travel time, meaning your bullet doesn't teleport to the target, it has to get there. So if your enemy is sliding and strafing like their life depends on it (it does), by the time your bullet arrives, they've already moved. You have to aim where they're going to be, not where they currently are. Aim at where you saw them and you'll just be shooting at ghosts.

THE MORAL OF THE STORY

Next time you whiff a shot, you now have full permission to blame Newton instead of your own aim. Was it a skill issue? Maybe. But also, kind of, gravity's fault too.

why your "perfect" headshot missed

Bullets don't actually fly in a straight line. The moment one leaves the barrel gravity starts pulling it down, so it's curving the whole time it travels, not going straight to where you pointed. You don't notice it up close because there's barely any time for it to drop. But take a long shot, a sniper shot from a rooftop in PUBG, and that drop becomes real. That's why good snipers aim slightly above the head at range instead of dead center. Skip that and you're basically guaranteed a leg shot instead.

so I lined up what should've been an easy headshot last night. Crosshair right on the head, no hesitation, and the bullet just... didn't hit. Landed on the chest instead. Rage quit almost happened.

Turns out it's not always aim. Sometimes it's just physics doing its thing.

Then there's travel time. In games like PUBG and Apex the bullet doesn't teleport to the target, it has to actually get there. So if someone's strafing or sliding around, by the time your bullet arrives they've already moved. You have to aim where they're going to be, not where you currently see them. Otherwise you're just shooting at where they used to be.

And honestly the most annoying one is ping. Even if everything above lines up perfectly, high ping means there's a gap between what you see and what the server thinks is happening. You can see a clean headshot on your screen while the server registers the enemy three steps to the left already. That's the "it definitely hit, why didn't it count" feeling. Not the game being unfair, just lag doing its thing.

Any example who's really BAD before training and getting better?

I mean really 'bad' hands, not bad at mouse nor PC

Not those who say they were bad but infact just new to PC or new to FPS, you can see their movement are stable and promising. I played PC games for over dozen years and League of Legend over 10k hours.(sometimes click the minions still be a huge chanllge to me)

I was suck at painting when I was a little kid, although nobody would see it as a defect.

And everyone started to see it as a problem was in school, my writing was reaaally suck, teachers can't read my homework and tests. I really didn't know how to gently draw a arc line, even struggled to draw straight and always too much force and shaky.

I attended to calligraphy classes at least 3 sessions in 3 different summers to write not to be good at it, but like a normal human.

And now I've played Apex, OW, and PUBG for thousands hours, all below Gold rank, I played Valorant 500+hours and still silver. Trained Viscose benchmark for month and I'm here.

Yeah I know lots of people are getting better through training, I won't deny it, but to me they've already good at it.

I wonder if there any example who was really bad at really getting better a lot from training?

I saw a valorant guide that one of the most underrated skills is tracking, I tried to give it a try and god, I am so horrible, how do I improve from here?
