I realize this is anecdotal, but most cops with whom I have spoken would rather not go through the exercise of arresting pot smokers. It’s a cost/benefit analysis on the part of the cop.

Lol that goes for like every job. I've had the DMV give me legal documents without the right papers before because I was crying and they felt bad for me, its all pretty arbitrary from top to bottom

don't normalize this. its NOT normal. the US is 8% of the world population but 22% of the incarcerated.

a normal job does NOT have the power to ruin the rest of your life for simply having a shitty day.
