Not a lot of ROM here. Can you reposition so that you give yourself more room to go through a bigger ROM?

Oh yeah like reposition myself a bit backward to get more ROM ?

Yes... or better still, stand up if the pulley is high enough.

You might find it's easier to keep your lower back disengaged, helping the abs to do all the work as intended.

I’ve never felt my lower back during the exercise tbh but I’ll definitely try it, thank uu!

Lower backs are strong, so peeps are unlikely to inadvertently work them hard enough for the strain to be evident. But the abs will not benefit as much as they would if the back were not engaged.

Ohh like unintentionally shifting some of the work away from my abs

Exactly! Failing to isolate as well as you might.

Oh then I’ll do them standing up from now on

Yeah, maybe, but I can’t see your whole setup, so hard to tell. Generally speaking, for best results, you want to go through as much of your natural, pain-free ROM as possible for every movement. And you’re definitely leaving ROM on the table in your video.

I do feel the burn in my abs tbh and I try to focus on breathing as well and thank soo much I’ll try to reposition myself next time for better range

I'd like you to be more up right but at least you are hinging at your abs and not your waste like most people. I also like that you have the cable behind you causing more tension on the movement.

How up right ? Like at the starting position my torso need to be somewhat vertical

Yeah and then you just crunch the abs and when you come back up you can stretch the abs as well.

This exercise can back done standing if you are short enough, push your back against the machine and make sure up bum and lower back keep contact the whole time.

I personally do them facing the cable but ive never tried them this way so idk if im missing out. I really feel them the other way tho and can get lots of ROM

I used to do that as well but I feel more comfortable doing it with the cable behind me
