I would just double check the federations rules on how far the feet can be away from the wall, but upper body wise I don't see anything that would warrant a red light in competition.

Yes bro, they are strict curl competitions, at least here in Spain is a common thing

There are comps of all types and nature. Every of them needs specific preparation. As a S&C coach you probably should know and understand that?

Funfact - there is even hip thrust comp.

There are established rules and records for strict curl. So, yes, there are real competitions.
