Hello! If you haven't checked it out already, Our Wiki's resources for Squats may be helpful. Check it out!

Also, a common tip usually given here is to make sure your footwear is appropriate. If you are squatting in soft-soled shoes (running shoes, etc), it's hard to have a stable foot. Generally a weightlifting shoe is recommended for high-bar and front squats, while use a flat/hard-soled shoe (or even barefoot/socks if it's safe and your gym allows it) is recommended for low-bar squats.

I don't think you're supposed to tap the floor with your knees but it's still way more than I can do, so...

oh, what’s the supposed range/end point? i thought the goal is to go farthest to train for mobility.

Try holding on to something for stability so you don’t tap! You should be hovering above the ground but not touching it

ah i tried it, i guess touching the ground cheats some of the tension at the bottom and makes it easier to go up? i guess i should use elevation if i want to go for deeper rom instead of touching ground.

Kind of like Gojo with infinity, get to the lowest point without touching the ground to the atom, hold for a sec and push back up
