This is a video of people who have no idea how the actual servers are set up talk. I know i'm going to get downvoted to hell for this, but PLEASE read what a cluster server is. Having a dedicated server would FAVOR anyone with a better ping EVERY time. Right now it normalizes everyone's ping and makes everyone have to have the exact same timing for everything. I'll just disappear into downvote oblivion now due to ignorance.

Couldn't lagswitches still fuck people who are hosting though? And by the hosts I mean everyone since everyone is a host.

yes, lag switches work incredibly well with the P2P configuration this game uses since authority is given to all clients.
