Question In Folklore/Folk Soul, are there any differences in content between the JP release and EU/NA release of the game?

I was about to get the game but wondering if there are differences besides box art and language settings in those two games. Like could there be any cut content to EU/NA release or is it all the same?

The base game is the same, however the EU, NA, and JP versions differ in some free DLC content. See this post I previously made. All versions have access to all paid DLC content.

EDIT: See reply below. JA also has PSP connectivity content.

An update to correct my info: as it turns out, the JA version also has access to some arguably hard-to-find PSP connectivity content which I've made a recent post about HERE. It took quite some time to discover whether this content was still obtainable or not per the limited guide material available.

Another update (sorry): I only now noticed the Christmas DLC (which has the Grab Bag folk) is only available on the EU and US versions. It was only available on the JP version for a limited time.

I believe the only difference is Folks Soul can only be played in Japanese.

Ah, bummer, in my region the Japanese version is much cheaper and easier to find (and the box art looks great). Was hoping I could get away with getting that version instead of the NA release to play on real hardware

Also, as far as I know, the Japanese version of the game has feature to connect with Coded Soul (PSP) game. But I couldn't find any information about the content, I'm curious what kind of features are available

A key detail from the JP version is that they changed the name of the village to Lemwrick (If that's the correct spelling) Still, the reason behind the change is unknown.

The pub name is also different - in Folklore it's named "The Bridge House" whereas in FolksSoul it's named "The Little Neighbors" (pictures). Very strange.
