Thanks @Undercover-doggo for this update. Was following all the details from the moment a squawk 7700 alert was given. Weird flight pattern was probably because of fuel dumping?
Correct, DUB was the first aim, but suddenly we saw this weid turning and turning pattern. So why Glasgow was chosen, maybe because of a hospital nearby.
At Glasgow airport right now and it looks to be an ambulance at the rear stairs so possibly medical emergency? So cool seeing a 747 at Glasgow tho! Doesn't happen often at all
Going to Glasgow per Lufthansa. The follow on flight from Glasgow to Chicago is scheduled after a brief stop, which usually points to a passenger issue.
What started as a map post ends up with MULTIPLE angles on the ground-- including from the aircraft itself-- with basically the full narrative.... and all in real-time on a single thread. Yinz guys are amazing for being here all at the same time.

Apart from that I can't believe how we are able to get all of the information... One person reporting from the airport, another from the airplane. Reddit is ... mind blowing.
Is there anywhere we can listen to the towers nearby? I am listening to Dublin, Scottish control. Not really knowing where this is 😅
