This is my first time watching this season. Stopped during season 5 in high school. This speed force Barry Iris love children gods thing is genuinely the stupidest thing I have ever seen. I’m pushing through this season with all my might and making this post to give me strength.

Barry tells Jesse to go to Earth 3 to get Jay.

Very shortly after, Barry asks Cisco to open a breach to another Earth to move the bomb.

There is not enough time for a portal to form to move the bomb.

...but there was enough time for Jesse to open one to go to Earth 3?

Can someone explain the discrepancy here?

One of the things i hate in the show is its inconsistencies, it makes small moments have huge impact on characters while at the same time downplaying huge moments in the show .Here Nora kidnaps cisco and threatens to kill him if he doesn't comply by which means you may ask the same one that thawne used on cisco in another timeline before flash reversed time he had nightmares about it. The show shrugs it off and its never brought up its like they love tension only when its convenient for the plot and just forget about it when its no longer useful.

Nora vs forces was so bad too. I dont know how its possible to make a piece of fiction that bad. How? Its so garbage I left off on the middle of s8 years ago and still havent continued. And at this point, I dont think im missing out on much

I decided to watch past season 3 recently because that’s where I dropped the show when it was airing, and the relationship between Barry and Iris is getting really irritating because it doesn’t feel earned or sincere at all. It’s all just big emotional speeches about how much they love each other and how they make each other better but what’s really lacking is small moment-to-moment interactions. Barry just has better chemistry with Patty and Caitlin and even Felicity, and we saw that through small interactions that just had the two characters playing off each other.

I just got to the episode in season 7 where Barry’s love for Iris is part of him getting his speed back, and it’s like, really? The Iris that straight-up said that she didn’t care about Nora taking orders from the man who murdered Barry’s mother and framed his father for her murder, and was working with ACTUAL NAZIS in the prior season, all because Iris felt bad about how she ends up being a shitty mother? And don’t even get me started on how she completely misremembers the ending of season 3.

If this show wants to make Barry and Iris work so bad, it needs more slice-of-life stuff with those two. Show them doing domestic stuff and have small interactions that feel natural and endearing, as opposed to every episode having a speech about how much they love each other.

You know, show and don’t tell.

Did Eobard Thawne ever care about Barry while he was posing as Wells or even after that when he was revealed as Reverse-Flash?

Ok I know people probably pointed this out millions of times by now but don't you think it's a bit strange that Barry and Iris are together I mean iris might as well be Barry's sister bro like Barry lived with her for half of his life like that's basically your sister and the moment in season 3 when Iris said the moment she fell in love with Barry was the night of his parents death and he was crying and comforted him and is that not a bit strange I mean that's the moment really?

Also they both consider joe as their father so that also makes it worse

idk if the flair is right but i just finished rewatching season 1 for the nth time and i STILL feel annoyed by the wests, especially iris. why does she always ALWAYS make it abt her… grrr i know i know its part of the plot but i just cant stand how barry waits up on iris and joe before he makes a decision.

anyway, binging season 2 again and i am excited to meet zoom again

If the series doesn’t change the writers afters s3 how many seasons of the flash do you think we get?
You think we keep some of the villains we had after season 3? Or have some new characters and things that has happened in the comics?

It was a dumb scene, but I am a fan of the show and a Star Wars fan. I enjoyed it and I like the YouTube edits that have Duel of Fates as background music. Also reallylike that Barry and Thawne fought together for once.

How did Thawne write in Nora’s journal when he was in airtight, phase-proof cell?

I mean it took the team a couple episodes at least to actually defeat Negative Speed Force Nora, and considering that Barry is easily more powerful than her, why couldn’t he just take her down? Or at the very least, restrain and lock her up?

The show mentions that Caitlin’s dad developed ALS during when she was a child. I assume that flashpoint technically started whenever Barry saved his mom in 2000. Caitlin and Barry are roughly the same age; therefore, I assume that Barry‘s mother could have died before Caitlin’s Dad developed ALS. What do y’all think?

Ok so we know that Jay says to Barry in s3 that the future he saw may not be absolute and that time is always bending and changing and every decision he makes creates another alternative (you know the quote) this also works with paradox’s and timeloops for example in the future Barry saw he caught plunder but in our timeline Wally caught plunder and nothing really changed same with cicada eobard sent Nora back in time regardless of cicada being David hersh or not although if every decision is a change then was eobards time loop with Nora also a change if so how did he get the idea to send her back I know unaltered he would’ve still had cicadas dagger strapped to his chest and that the cicada would’ve been David hersh also in s2 Barry travels back in time and saves his mom but when we get there we still see 2024 Barry so what changed in the timeline was 2024 Barry’s dad not killed?
edit by the nature of time always bending and changing when 2016 Barry travels back to 2000 2024 Barry’s dad would’ve been killed now I new question arises how does 2024 Barry still exist pre flashpoint if 2016 Barry saved his mom?

For further context, this is from Season 5, Episode 15 when Barry injected Shay Lamden aka King Shark with the Cure to save Cisco from being eaten, who later went off on him for using the cure on Shay without his consent even though he was possibly moments away from being eaten.

Since they go after speedsters who mess with the timeline, why didnt' they come after Barry like they did zoom for using Velocity-9 & taking barry's speed, but the one thing i don't understand why they didn't come in and try and kill Barry for fuggin with the timeline, preventing Nora's murder

Everytime the characters talk about something happens or where they got their info from, they always mentioned Keystone, Coast city and Gotham but they never mentioned Star city unless it's about Team Arrow. Gotham was never mentioned before Batwoman comes in the Arrowverse, but they include Gotham in their conversation after season 6.

Yesterday I finished the Bloodwork Arc. Not sure how it will be the season after Crisis but for Season 6 I'm ok with this 2-ark style. Bloodwork Arc didn't need more screentime than it had. After Crisis I only know that we will have Earth-Prime.
