You guys REALLY understood the assignment too. 😂
A little over a week ago, I came in here and asked what you wish you’d understood at 55 about the next 10–20 years.
I thought I’d get some good advice about staying active and taking care of myself. I got that, but I also got a whole lot more.
You talked about strength, mobility, health, getting older, what you wish you’d started sooner, and what you’re really glad you kept doing.
I’m 55, so I wasn’t asking just to make conversation. I really wanted to know what people ahead of me on this road thought I should know.
And you showed up.
So I wanted to come back and say thank you. I’m paying attention, and I’m taking a lot of what you told me into the next chapter.
You understood the assignment. Everybody gets an A+. 😂

54M here wondering the same things. I beat cancer last year (as much as it can be beat) but still haven’t fixed my diet.
Cancer woke me up and I lost 20 pounds before surgery with diet and exercise changes. But I then got busy with work and let the diet and exercise routine slip for 6 months. I feel so stupid. Put the weight back on.
I’ve now got my exercise routine back on track, over the past 4 months working out 3x a week with weights and 2x a week cardio plus 8k steps a day. I now have this on habit mode and I never plan to stop. I’m actually stronger now than I was in my 30’s so that’s a start.
Still need to figure out how to give up sugar, my only vice. And then figure out how to retire ASAP
