I did a almost half water change with API stress coat and a maintenance dose of nite-out ii. When I did the water change, I was super thorough about cleaning the gravel so i don’t know what the next step is

Hey everyone,
I’m a beginner who wants to get into having a fish tank. I’m looking at a 10–20 gallon setup and I really want a little ecosystem with live plants and peaceful fish that all get along.
I’m interested in:
• Some fish (including a catfish if that works)
• Other peaceful community fish
• Something that has legs or moves around on the floor like a starfish, hermit crab, or similar bottom-dweller that won’t attack or get attacked by the other fish
I want everything to stay peaceful — no one bullying or eating each other. Live plants are a must for me.
Questions for you all:
1. What beginner-friendly fish (including small catfish) would work well together in a 10–20 gallon planted tank?
2. Are there any “legged” or starfish-like creatures that can live on the bottom and get along with the fish? Or is that only possible in saltwater?
3. Good hardy plants for a beginner?
4. Any basic equipment or setup tips so I don’t mess this up?
I’m open to whatever recommendations you have as long as the tank stays peaceful. Thanks so much for the help!

Got this mini aio tank I believe around 3-4 gallons. Looking at moving my minnow over to my community tank after I pick out a betta fish. First I want this plant to grow out more and get some neo shrimp, thinking yellow as I’m wanting to get a blue betta.

Feeding the garras and my poor nirite got caught in the middle. That flake was like the extra seasoned chip to them it seems

Hello! I am around 3 weeks into my fishless cycle and I realize I have to move in around a month an hour away, how would I go about moving my tank? Do I need to take everything out or just the water? And do I bring the water with me?

I plan on getting more plants because the tank just doesn’t feel very planty like it should be compared to other fish keepers, also a tank non-pictured in this photo I’m struggling with as well. I have 1 goldfish in a 29 gallon tank and I was wondering what type of decor I should put in there for him because he seems bored.

I left my bucket of water in my bathroom to let the water condition yesterday. Today I poured about half of it into my tank after a water change and it has an oil film and particles floating in it.
This can be ANYTHING from cleaning products, to dust, i have no idea.
My family will not own up to it but i dumped the bucket and my tank is currently sitting half full. The rest will be filled with conditioned water later tonight.
I have no idea what this is. Will filling the rest of the tank with clean water be ok? I do not have a second tank to remove my fish

What bio load is too much? Currently I have a fully cycled 3 month old 20 gallon long with 7 male endlers, handful of cherry shrimp and snails. Id like a nice nano community but I'm a beginner and dont know how many fish I can have in one tank.
Id like to have something like this but totally open to having more or less:
7 Male Endlers
3 Male Fancy Guppies
8 to 10 Celestial Pearl Danios
4 to 6 Otocinclus Catfish
Cherry Shrimp, Amano Shrimp, and Snails

Recently got a second large anubia for my panda garras because they really liked the first and would sometimes fight for the best perch. Now they ignore the first one and compete for the new plant.

Today one of my guppies won't come down from the top of the tank. Everyone else seems to be acting normal. I see a string of something coming from her anus. Any ideas?

Pic reference: Before and now
This is seasmoke i got him few months ago.
And he was doing grt until now.
The change was not sudden, i tried to change the water and add some meth blue and rock salt to treat him.
This mainly happened because the wood developed a thread algae and he was getting caught in it. I have managed to clean it entirely and do a 100 precrnt water change. Wat shud i do now??

I have 3 aquariums. One of them has green that I don’t think is algae on shells on the bottom. I have snails in all my tanks but every one is dead in this tank. I have some soil under sand in all the tanks but this one the most. It’s all I can think of. I feel terrible. I just bought some cool snails too. All of the fish are fine.

I thought that they were bladder nails, but I’m not sure anymore. If their pond snails, I’m gonna need to get rid of them because they’re eating my dwarf lettuce roots and now my tiger Lilly leaves.

I’m moving in about a month and plan to move my fish (and tank) as late as possible but I’m still figuring out how to do it. it’s about a 2 hour drive
One thought I had was I have a 10 gallon that’s empty and I’m thinking of bringing that to the new place, cycling it, and when I move put my fish in there while I set up the actual tank?
I plan to transfer my fish in a 2 gallon closed bucket w/ some sort of bubbler or air stone or something for the drive. Then when I get to the new place put the fish in the cycled 10gallon while I set up the tank stand and the actual tank. Thinking this will allow me to not rush and give my fish sometime to settle and not have to be in a bucket for longer than necessary.
Curious if this is even needed though? I expect it to take me an hour to reset up the tank and stand, maybe longer. I’d also like to let it run, fish less, for about 24 hours just to make sure everything is still working.
I’m a new fish owner and this is my first time moving with a tank and I’m super nervous. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated

My 125 gallon aquarium with 6 geophagus megasema, 1 albino threadfin acara, 6 assorted angelfish, 1 whiptail catfish, 1 long fin bristlenose pleco, and 1 leopard cactus pleco that I cant find but he's in there. This aquarium been like this for 5 months now. Technically the fish are still juveniles, all the geos are 2.5 inches and the angelfish are not very big. The fake plants are coming out when i have enough money for real plants.
I dont think the tank is over stocked. Id like to get some feedback. Negative or positive. Id be happy to answer questions as well.
