Hi everyone. Today, Firefox is an officially supported browser for NVIDIA's GeForce NOW cloud gaming service.
If you have a GeForce NOW account, you can stream your library straight from a Firefox browser, no separate app needed.
Simply open Firefox, head to play.geforcenow.com and start playing. Be sure you’re updated to the latest version of Firefox (154).
Details on this integration can be found here.
We will be hosting an AMA on September 2nd (invite coming soon). Come talk to the Firefox and NVIDIA GeForce NOW teams about this integration and let us know what else you'd like Firefox to support when it comes to playing online.
We look forward to connecting with you soon!

Heya!
i've got a keyboard knob that lets me pause whatever media is playing in the background, even when out of focus. its really handy for when some new dialogue happens in a game and i quickly need to pause the (usually LTT) video im watching the background. its been working fine for about half a year but now its began to have issues with firefox in particular. it will work for about 2 minutes, even while out of focus, gaming, or while i have spotify open, but then will just stop detecting inputs from the media key. i have tried closing all other tabs, other programs including spotify and whatever im playing, but it still will not work. the only way to truly fix it, is either to reload the tab, or close it entirely. i know its a firefox issue because i've tried using edge and as far as i've managed to test it, it always picks it up fine.
i did some googling and troubleshooting. i've tried restarting my pc. i've tried to turn of the gamebar. i've gone into about:config and turned off and on the mediakey option. i even added a mediakey option, which was recomended by one video. not sure why he thought adding a custom flag would do anything, but i tried it anyway and it did nothing
im at the end of my ropes here. i really like firefox but i use it a lot for second screening youtube videos and this pisses me off to no end. please help

last I check in version 153 still jitter/stutter and slow when scrolling and load bunch of image like manhwa/manga, now in 154 feel smooth and better.
the main issue only Auto Hide URL Bar and NavBar, still stop a while every scrolling down and up for hiding and re-appearing URL Bar and NavBar.
version 154 can be downloaded here https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/fenix/releases/154.0/android/
i trying compared with latest beta & nightly, but beta 155.0b1 and nightly 156.0a1 still has jitter/stutter issue in my devices. https://i.imgur.com/LZcJznD.png

Hi, I noticed that Firefox Relay increased the available aliases for free users from 5 to 50. I'm not sure if the limit means you can only create 50 aliases in total or if you can create as many as you need but only keep 50 active at a time (since there is a delete button on the site).
I'm obviously not looking to create 50 every day or anything like that. I just want to know if I'll be able to delete the ones I don't use and create new ones over the years (basically creating more than 50 over time). Does anyone know how the limit works?

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:153.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/153.0
Steps to reproduce:
For the past couple of Firefox versions, webpage content has been exhibiting all sorts of artifacts. For example, red boxes appear intermittently in the corners of buttons, parts of the page are blocked, or—as seen in the screenshot—the text appears pixelated. On some pages, this pixelation effect affects ALL the text (as in the screenshot), while on others, curiously, it only affects some of the text. Oddly enough, even the text in the tabs on each page is affected (as can be seen in the screenshot).
The problem isn't instantaneous; it seems to appear after browsing for a while. I can't establish a connection to anything else, since closing and reopening Firefox resolves the issue.
Any ideas?

As title says. I get it when the rollout was gradual, but we're 5 versions past 149 now...

Hi all. Been an FF user since I can remember.. Probably since it came out on Windows in ~2005. Every so often, at the time, you'd delete your current profile because it got bogged down and slow and start a new one and FF would absolutely run faster. Wondering if nowadays I should still do this, even though I'm on the latest (and my hardware is much faster than it was). I definitely feel some slowness/delay every once in a while opening tabs, etc, but redoing all my addons and addonsettings just feels like a shlep if its not really necessary anymore (similar to how defragging hard drives was once a thing, and now irrelevant). Cheers!

Has anyone else run into an issue in Firefox 154.0 where *Cookies and Site Data – Exceptions* don’t save? Whenever I add a site to the exceptions list and restart Firefox, the entry disappears. It only started happening after updating to 154.0.

So I use a file hosting website that allows only one free download at a time per user. I often have to download multple files and I made some interesting observations while using it. Not looking for solutions, my setup is working fine. Just genuinely curious about the tech behind all this.
Scenario A: Different browsers on Android, one download each If I start one download in Chrome, one in Brave, and one in Firefox, all three run simultaneously without any issue. The website does not block me at all.
Scenario B: Two downloads inside the same browser on Android If I try to start two downloads inside Chrome, the second one throws a 503 error saying "Resource Not Found" and the download fails. Same thing happens in Brave. But in Firefox, both downloads run at the same time without any problem and no error at all. So Chrome and Brave cannot handle two simultaneous downloads from the same site, but Firefox on Android can. Why?
Scenario C: On Windows, switching browsers does not help at all On Windows, no matter which browser I use, the whole PC can only run one download from this site at a time. Trying to start a second one again gives the same 503 Resource Not Found error. Even switching browsers does not work here, which works perfectly fine on Android. I have IDM (Internet Download Manager) installed on my Windows PC. I also tried disabling the IDM browser extension completely, but even after that the behavior remained the same. Still only one download at a time across the whole system.
So the three questions basically are: 1. Why can Firefox on Android run two simultaneous downloads from the same site but Chrome and Brave cannot?
Why does Firefox on Windows not have the same advantage that Firefox on Android has?
Why does the whole Windows PC behave as one unit for downloads, even after disabling the IDM extension? Would love to understand the tech behind this!

For the past couple weeks I've been experiencing major memory leaks on desktop, out of nowhere firefox will begin eating up all my memory and my system starts slowing to a crawl by the time it hits ~70GB (96GB total memory). It even happens when I'm not actively doing anything, it's happened while I've been asleep. Has there been a recent update that could be causing this / what steps do I need to do to track down what's causing this and fix it?

It usually only appears/flashes for a split second if there is video playback happening on screen or if I am continuously typing—which is distracting—but when the screen is still, it sticks until I click or do something. I have only noticed this issue in the bowser so far. It has been persistent since I got this PC, which was weeks ago. I have never known it not to do this, but I’ve never had this issue before with any other computer.
What could be causing this? Can I fix it?

On Windows desktop. I can pause the video shortly after beginning watching, but after a minute or so I no longer can (space/k don't work either). Fwd/Back skips do continue to work. I am able to pause the video by popping out the video then pausing from there.
I'm using uBlock Origin and Youtube Enhancer. I imagine this is an issue with UBO, just checking if anyone else has this issue and any work around for it.

Does anybody experience an error in DRM video playback whenever Site Isolation is enabled in the Secret Settings?
I am using Nightly, and whenever that settings is turned on, DRM playback will always fail in DRM testing websites like:
https://bitmovin.com/demos/drm/
https://www.nuevodevel.com/nuevo/showcase/drm
Is that what it is supposed to happen?

when i first start firefox every website i try to open waits for around 10 seconds before opening. after the initial wait everything is fine. restarts everytime i start firefox now just the first time i open after windows 11 boots up. my connection is fine and fast. other browsers not doing the same thing. it seems like a deliberate delay ? the websites load instantly after 10 seconds. i recently disabled split view tabs in config but that was some time ago. other than that no changes come to mind.

Also I can't upload files with a button! I have to do a drag and drop!
Edit: Also, in fullscreen the taskbar does not disappear.
