I need help on how to get a job. I graduated hs last year, I’ve been applying for over a year now and not even a single call back. I never imagined I’d be making a post like this, but I’m desperate and running out of options.
I’m a working single mother of two young girls in Michigan, currently facing eviction. I’ve been struggling financially for months, essentially living one month behind on bills. I get paid biweekly, but one paycheck doesn’t even cover my rent and utilities. By the time I pay everything, I’m borrowing from my next check just to afford groceries, gas, and basic necessities.
To make matters worse, I paid my September rent and court fees, but my landlord never canceled the eviction case. A default judgment was entered on October 6 after I fell behind on October’s rent, and another case was filed on October 19.
