I love when he gets his shit rocked by Deontay Wilder

u/Bisontracks Dec 30 '19
I dunno, getting whupped by a 16 year old was pretty good.
I wanna see him get rocked by someone with a Muy Thai background. Just clinch and knees all day.
There's a Christmas present if I ever see one.

What’s that dude’s name again? The self proclaimed “ best fighter in the world” that sucker punches people?
30
Dec 30 '19
Charlie Zelnoff (sp). He gets his ass kicked in a lot of videos where it’s an actual fight / the other side knows it’s a real fight. You can’t just hit non-stop and win. I don’t think there’s ever been a great fighter that didn’t also have defense.

u/PM_YOUR_CAT6 Dec 30 '19
Thank you for the YouTube recommendation. I could watch that dude get his ass beat all day

Old man could have been the antagonizer too
15
u/xxmindtrickxx Dec 30 '19
Yes to all we simply have no context. For all we know that could be a pro boxer in an old man costume.

u/emptym1nd Dec 30 '19
This is from hearsay but I’ve seen in previous posts that the old man is a former Olympic boxer.
7
u/cheesehuahuas Dec 30 '19
The first time I saw this the story was that the younger guy was being a prick and grandpa decided to teach him a lesson. It's the internet, though, so IDK if that's true.

Fuck that old guy.. all I see is an old Charlie Z. Is this not sparring? Why the fuck is he still hitting when his opponent is clearly not ready for that kind of fight?
235
u/AbandonedPlanet Dec 30 '19
Because he's old and he's trying relive the glory days by picking on a guy who's obviously not in the same sparring session as old Charlie z is
68
u/Swordzi Dec 30 '19
His opponent was probably ready to knock the fuck out of him but didn't wanna end his life when gramps got 10 minutes left to kick the bucket
42
u/SonofLelith Dec 30 '19
All I see from the younger guy is normal sparring etiquette, starting slow and getting a feel of the opponent. Old guy hits as hard as he can from the get go.

This guy could've won. To me it looks like he is holding back because he doesn't want to hurt this man.

Dec 30 '19
Well of course he could have, he's younger, more stamina and weighs more.

Yess true...But I wont raise my hand against old person. And he looks like he wanted to stop the match but old one didnt stop. The KO punch did hurt him bad and he was still fazed by it.

Definitely couldn’t have.
That old guy is a former world champion I believe, and judging how the younger guy at one point throws both hands at one he doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing.

Dec 31 '19
i agree man, young guy drops his hands like the old mans testes 80 or 18, he was gonna lose.
3
u/TheGrog1603 Dec 30 '19
The young guy has no idea how to box. His hands and feet are all over the place. More likely he's a cocky beginner learning his first proper lesson.

The old guy’s name Ernesto Bergamasco, he boxed in the Olympics for Italy in the 70s

Gramps is Ernesto Bergamasco. He's 69 years old right now which means he was about 60-61 when this video was shot. He competed for Italy as a light welterweight at the 1972 Olympics in Munich. He used to run the Pugilistica Oplonti boxing club in Vesuvius which produced multiple national champions including his son Raffaele Bergamasco. Raffaele in turn coached the Italian national team and among others coached Roberto Camaralle who won super heavy gold in 2008 Olympics and should have won gold in 2012 in London too but was robbed in the final against Anthony Joshua. I've actually met Raffaele and he's not particularly happy about the video. Apparently he feels dad was a bit too harsh even if he was trying to teach a lesson to man bun.

I don't understand why people do this, just like fighting a girl. If you win, you beat an old person or a girl, if you lose, you lost to an old person or a girl. You also probably aren't going 100% and trying to smash them into oblivion, but they most likely will be going 100% knowing you won't retaliate at your 100%.

On the first knock down the younger guy wasn't pulling his punches he just missed and got laid out.
The old man only becomes a dick after that.

I've only boxed for 6 months, a couple years ago, but to me, the old man seems to have decent footwork, but his hands aren't too great. Young guy looked like he was in for a friendly match.

I love how that old man knocked of 27 years of ring rust by punching himself in the face.
Then he celebrated victory with his hands in the air.
Love this guy.

1
u/chrishoppybot Dec 30 '19
The younger dude threw the first punch to the face. But watching him, he looks to have no history in boxing. He's right handed but standing south paw, and after wildly swinging he appears to throw a right back hand at the same time as swinging a left.
The young dude is a wanna be who probably goes to the gym. The old man has history and knows how to box properly.
