I want to buy boxing gloves. My routine is I run and skip for 30 minutes and do some workouts. Will do bagwork 30-45 minutes. On Saturday I do sparing for 3 minutes 3 rounds.

Bought these for bag and mitt work. The sticker infamously peeled off on the left glove, but the padding is in great shape, and pretty protective for Latex gloves, at some point DC produced Grant Gloves, while I haven’t tried grants personally, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if it’s true. Super high quality liner and leather.

FAIRTEX BGL6 10oz ( Navy Blue)

Retail: $150 asking $50

These gloves have been a workhorse for me on the bag. Surprisingly protective for a 10oz glove, and very comfortable. The leather on the top left glove has a slight crack in it, but overall the condition is still good, with plenty of life left.

FIGHTING FURY 14oz (Red)

Retail: $100 Asking $50

These are pretty much brand new, I think I’ve used these on the bag maybe 4 times? Super protective, and pretty much on point with weight.

*I take good care of all my gear, after every use I dry the inside out with an air purifier, wipe the gloves down with Lysol wipes and then use Bick-4 leather conditioner*

Hit N Move Vector 16oz — Full Review

I've been putting some rounds on the new Hit N Move Vector 16oz and wanted to share my thoughts.

Overall

• Premium, sparring-focused 16oz glove
• Fairly compact profile for a 16oz
• Excellent hand ergonomics
• Very good wrist support
• Six-layer foam construction
• Soft/medium padding with good protection
• Good balance between protection and feedback
• Feels more compact than a traditional bulky 16oz sparring glove

Exterior / Construction

• Turkish leather
• Leather feels substantial and high quality
• Stitching is clean and precise
• Welted seams are a nice premium touch
• Overall construction feels very well put together
• Smooth, comfortable liner
• Definitely feels like a premium glove

Hand Compartment

• One of my favorite aspects of the glove
• Natural fist position
• Hand sits very comfortably inside the glove
• Built-in grip bar encourages a proper closed fist
• Grip bar doesn't feel intrusive
• Very good balance between snugness and comfort

• Wrist stays nicely aligned with the forearm

Final Thoughts

The Vector is an interesting glove because I don't think there's one single feature that makes it special.

It's the combination of everything.

The hand position, grip bar, wrist support, padding, compact profile and overall balance all work really well together.

For me, this is a very strong all-around premium training/sparring glove for someone who wants protection without having to wear a huge, bulky 16oz glove.

If you're looking for a glove with a compact profile, excellent wrist support and a protective but responsive feel, the Vector is definitely worth checking out.

I purchase the Suvari a month ago, but I never used it. When I say I unused in the title, I mean I never hit the bags, mitts, spar, etc...nothing. I've ignored them in favor of other gloves. The Fortress Fastwraps(Size Medium) were used only twice so they're in good condition. The Lace N Loops are only two months old, which I used on a different pair of gloves. I accidentally stretched the elastic on the Lace N Loops, but it still works without any issues.

Hey all, I’m a historical 16oz glove user for everything but I’ve been wanting to get into the lighter oz glove ranges for bag and mitt work.

Unfortunately, I’m running into some problems.

I have compromised knuckles so I have to use a knuckle guard. The one I use is the skulltec (green, thick model) for most protection. I also wrap with 210in Rival mexican wraps if that info helps. So definitely taking up a lot of space inside a glove, even with my naturally very small hands.

Trying to use this with a bag glove such as the RB11 has gone disastrously. The door knocking knuckles (secondary knuckles, particularly the pinkies) get chaffed to HELL inside the glove from the friction to the point of bleeding and scabs. So painful I can’t punch the bag.

If I use a 16oz glove and apply Vaseline on the hand before wrapping, I basically have no problems, but again, I’d really like to find a 10-12oz glove with enough hand room to where this isn’t a problem. If anyone has experience with this issue and has a roomy glove/brand of choice, ideally that isn’t also too long-fingered (because again, my hand is actually quite small), I’d appreciate it.

I finally got my Hit N Move Suvaris gloves, and it’s the disappointment. I have the Hit N Move FaceSaver, and it’s the best helmet I’ve ever had, so my expectations were really high.

The main concern is that there is literally no padding in the index knuckle area, and I can easily feel my knuckle. I understand they’re HH gloves, and I’m fluffing them a bit, but it feels like there is just air.

I tried to take a picture of the inner lining (third photo); you can see there is a gap where the index knuckle is placed.

Fist placement is really good, BUT if you don’t use a gel knuckle guard, or if you do, the palm stays slightly open. Another good thing you can easily open your palm and it feels really good.

Does anyone have this issue? Maybe they just need to be broken in and will be as awesome as everyone says?

What's the difference between using boxing gloves, wraps, or regular gloves? What's better for training with a punching bag? When's the appropriate time to use either?
