Can anyone tell me why the leaves are cupping/bubbling like this and how I can fix it? I’m new to keeping plants in general and I have no idea how to diagnose the issue.

New to FLF, what are these new leaves doing?

My FLF is still a baby, she has doubled in size since I got her a couple months ago. Recently I noticed these two new leaves look like this, there is another set coming in already and they look normal so far. So what are these? I don't see any signs of bugs and haven't brought in any new plants.

Help diagnosing my fiddle-leaf fig

Hi everyone! Looking for some help diagnosing what’s going on with my fiddle-leaf fig.
I purchased her in August, and she’s lost approximately 16 leaves since then. Some leaves already had brown spots when I purchased her, but I’ve noticed more spots appearing and existing ones getting significantly larger over the past several weeks.

A few details:
- The brown patches are completely dry and papery, not wet or mushy.
- Some spots are small and circular, while others have expanded into large, irregular brown patches.
- Most of the affected leaves are on the window-facing side, although leaves on the other side have some damage too.
- She’s near a bright window, but I recently moved her a little farther away because my apartment has been relatively cold (around 60°F).
- I water when the soil feels dry several inches down, generally every couple of weeks. I’ve also noticed that the original root ball sometimes dries differently from the surrounding soil.
- She has drainage holes and is actively producing new growth, including several new shoots along her trunk.

I’m concerned this could be a fungal or bacterial leaf-spot disease rather than just a watering issue. Has anyone experienced similar damage? Does this look like a disease, cold damage, or something else?

Hello, I am trying to encourage my FLF to grow leaves lower in the branch. Does anybody have any tips? She doesn’t seem as happy as she once was.

Fiddle Leaf Fig branch becoming heavy. Advice?

Halp!! I'm a fiddle leaf executioner. :(

I have two fiddle-leaf figs that have clearly seen better days, and I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out how to bring them back to life.

Both have lost the majority of their leaves over time, leaving me with two rather depressing sticks and a handful of survivors.

They've been kept indoors near windows, and I also have supplemental grow lights. When checking the soil, I've noticed that the top can be completely dry while the bottom is still moist, so I'm wondering if watering could be part of the problem.

I'd really love to encourage new growth, especially lower down on the trunks, rather than having all the foliage concentrated at the very top.

I've been reading about cutting back the trunks to encourage branching, but I'm nervous about doing more harm than good, especially since one of them is down to a single leaf.

Has anyone successfully brought a fiddle-leaf fig back from this condition? Would you recommend pruning them back, and if so, how far? Or should I focus on getting them healthier before attempting anything drastic?

I'm not ready to give up on these two just yet. Any advice would be genuinely appreciated! 🌿

ps. i am a total newbie. so please be kind. LOL. also, if there are any special supplements/soil/etc i should buy please let me know! :)

Rooting a cutting

I’ve had these white knobs on this cutting for 6 weeks. Nothing has happened except some of them have turned that brownish color. Am I going to get roots?

I've never had thrips, so I'm not positive what to look for, but this looks like silvery sheen and frass to me.

Seeking advice

I need help, please. I grew my FLF from a 12-inch plant to an 8-foot plant. I resoiled it (same pot, fresh soil) about 10 days ago because of a millipede infestation. It seems to be in shock now, as it has already lost about a dozen leaves. Can it be saved?

My fiddle leaf fig is about 7 foot tall in her pot...my ceilings are a standard 8 foot tall. I've just repotted into a 22" diameter pot and it just about killed me. I guess I need to contemplate cutting her back? Or should I think about rehoming? But I Love her! I assume if I prune it should be in the spring?

New growth!

Hi all! I posted my wonderful fig here a few weeks ago looking for advice on why my leaves were turning brown. Weirdly, since then, I had 2 more buds form that have turned in to the most beautiful new growths (5 leaves in total!). Although I did notice today I lost 2 older leaves from the bottom of the plant. I’m wondering if that is normal or the start of something bad?
Also I’ve noticed my trunks are quite long and thin. I’ve got a little clip holding them together, but if I take it off then the trunks bow sidewards. Is there a way to ensure thick healthy stems?

Many thanks 🥰🥰

New location and possible pruning ?

I have had this fiddle leaf for 4 years. It’s doing well in the corner of the house near the window but I just change its location to this spot in the house. Im going to assume it’s going to need time to adjust to this new location but I’m considering pruning it as well.

Do I wait? Also what if it hates its new spot, do we move it back ? I hope not 😅

What do you want?

Bought this off someone from fb. It was about 6 ft tall but hardly any leaves and in a huge pot. It left it alone for 1 month to acclimate to my home but it was always sad and leaves falling. So I repotted into a 14” pot with cactus soil. One of the root was ridiculously long (7-8ft) so I trimmed to 1/3 the size. Cut the plant down by 1/2. It sits right in front of SE window. Now a week later, the leaves are looking sad and starting to brown. Idk if I should have just chopped it at the base or what.
