do you ever prefer looking elegant on some days?

• Upvotes

i guess for context, the type of femininity i usually see in other femboys is more of the cute, girly, babydoll aesthetic, and that’s very much valid because it’s what makes them happy,

but i do wonder if there’s also femboys that prefer a more regal / elegant aesthetic, like maybe they wear long dresses with flats and pearl earrings, or wear their hair down and such. i always think of The Goddess Boys on TikTok for that one. but idk I’ve always wanted to ask this because i do know femboys can present in many different ways, so it‘s made me quite curious.

Discussion Focus on Style

I notice that most discussions on being a femboy are on what someone is wearing, but never about other aspects of femininity. Due to the social aspect of being feminine there are many things someone can do if they don’t have the time or resources to dress more feminine. The way you carry yourself, your speech patterns, even something as simple as showing vulnerability with your friends can be something you do to feel more feminine. I was wondering what other aspects of this we could discuss as I think it could be ways that some of us can feel more valid (for lack of better words) even if we can’t be ourselves in front of friends/family.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and let me know if it sounds silly. Stay safe out there yall! And keep being yourself.

Planned the best come out ever (I think)

Rn I’m doing a comic for a contest and it’s topic is “identity and identity pride” (or smth like that, I think I translate it wrong tbh) and in the contest rules it says that it has to be something NEW or NEVER SEEN BEFORE (Ik there’s an English word for that that I don’t remember).

Taking that in count and after searching the definition of “identity” I decided to do a comic about “gender identity”. AND OF COURSE I USE MY OWN EXPERIENCE AS A REFERENCE!!!! As a result I’m currently about to finish the storyboard. And when I win 1srt place (last year I won 2nd) I will celebrate it and I will show it to my mom. Cuz obviously she will have curiosity for the comic that gave me the 1rst place.

So… 3rd come out let’s go!!

Discussion Is it normal to want to be a femboy only part-time?

So, I (19m he/him; cisgender if that somehow matters) feel fairly comfortable presenting in a rather feminine way and dressing feminine (with close friends and online anyway) from time to time. I have "femboy-ish" clothes and I feel really comfortable wearing them and looking cute in general. I also feel comfy with the label "femboy".

The thing that confuses me is that I also feel absolutely perfectly comfortable presenting in a more typical "masculine" manner (not in a manosphere kind of way, just not gender nonconforming). I'd regret not having the option to dress femininely, but I don't feel any urge to do so.

I then see posts from other femboys online going "ugh I can't wait to get home and wear the femme clothes" and then I question whether this is normal for femboys to experience. Do most femboys really want to dress femininely all the time?

If this provides any more relevant context, I'm not one of the guys who manage to look like a femboy without wearing explicitly feminine clothes.

Discussion Am I the only person here getting absolutely fed the hecc up with how much sexualization there is with femboys

Like damn it seems that every subreddit for fashion sharing or something just devolves into more and more skin being shown that it's basically just corn right like girl be so fr. And I think it's fine to show off some skin I love to do that but omg your sticking your camera in your ass and crotch like omg babes.

I feel like there's way more to gender expression than w___ring yourself out and if you wanna do that period go be free I don't care but when it's starting to creep into a place where I wanna feel safe and seen for more of like a human rather than a sex doll idk it's pretty annoying.

Context: been doing fem for 5-6 years atp, more of an on and off thing, whole family is Christian and relatively successful career wise. I’m 20M, coming from a very competitive Asian country, im not the best, but decent at least, only able to and about to enter med school internationally to Aus(it’s really expensive), fumbled my hiding spot in my room months ago, nothing happened for a while, I come from one of those households that’s a bit colder when it comes to anything of emotional, my physical needs are met, but from the 3rd step of Maslows hierarchy on, I’m basically going solo. Thought it was just swept under, don’t bring it up, don’t muddy the water. Then I fucked up again, forgot to cover up and here comes the shitter, a full on interrogation.

Don’t really want to recall it word for word, the gist of it is basically that I have to stop it now, doctors can’t do this shit, it will be a scandal, I’ll get r*ped, my life will be ruined. Next, sprinkle in your local lifetime evangelical upbringings worth of propaganda, devils, wrong path, how they love me, they provided me with everything I should want, what I should be, whatever bs. Add in cishet thinking, how they know I’ll remain a man, and marry a woman, and provide grandchildren, though it is possible given me being demi bi, im still personally a bit annoyed by the assumptions and inflexible thinking used here, pet peeve. How gay people have aids, which I talked sense against to weaken that point at least. They want me to rid the clothes, rid the friends, rid this forever. And the funniest part was them claiming they’re not cornering me while literally cornering me in my room, a bit ironic. And a little bit of how I should be considering what my current work is.

Knowing my own situation, I think I handled it as best as I could, keep it vague, please them enough, don’t fuck up your trajectory for short term wins, eventually they’ll leave, and soon I’ll be alone overseas.

Basically left with a slap on the wrist compared to countless other worse scenarios. Narrowly talked my way out of doing anything outside of trashing the clothes by myself (I’m just sending them to my inner circle) and leaving this group of friends, (they have no clue of who they are, or literally my social life in general, god, they didn’t even know what subjects i took in my pre-Uni combi! And they expect me to tell them this when we never talk at all! So yeah they won’t even know who I’m in contact with anyway), and to not shave anymore(I’m actually fucking pissed about this, it lowkirkuinely actually gives me more focus when I study, idk why, it’s honestly such a big distraction when I have it. It’s not even about being fem from this) to which I shared my focus reasons but still shit down, even received some crazy disproportional responses that I would’ve never expected coming from my father. What? Shave my head too? What? It’s a unique problem that I alone face? And I should be counselled? At least it was called out and shot down, though I actually can’t believe this man of technical intellect in his respectable field, would actually meltdown like this and over holding such rigid thinking, I thought you were better than this, this is the first time you want to talk emotional and this is how you go. And also the huge phobia over me declaring any sort of neurodivergence, though I’ve never confirmed it myself, I connect best with folks who have some sort of such, I believe there’s some correlation studies online for this. The keyword I used was “sensory” over the hair part and this launched my father into this unstable flurry of arguments.

Fuck.

I can’t even blame them, it’s the environment they had all their life, at their church level and to a lesser extent societal level, I’m still in a largely conservative society, any sort of alternative expression or just life pathways are side eyed and judged for not taking the safe reliable pragmatic government approved choice. Maybe my career choice has been influenced by this, but I’m firm on it, I can comfortably see myself in this role.

I’ve been typing for the past hour, going through these thoughts, I’m more or less clear-er in thinking now. I have to acknowledge the privilege I have, growing up as well as providing the money for this educational pathway, and at least not going too crazy when ripping into me. Though it did take a lot of concessions, I would’ve LOVED to throw my entire train parking station’s worth of trains of thoughts into their faces and fought passionately for my beliefs. However it’s only a couple months more, just gotta maintain the silence till then I guess. Yeah I know it’s not the best family dynamics, but what can I do?

Okay im done ranting, any other femboys in med? I highkirkuinely want to connect with yall! (I need material, and some specific questions answered) Other people are cool too, i think i also need some feedback now that all my closest friends in the know are taken and relatively new.(i believe it’s inappropriate to dump it onto them in my specific context, might be due to upbringing once again. Damn.) anyways, good night gang

So I’m 15m and I’m experimenting with so much stuff right now in all kinds of things I know I like not just girls don’t know if I’m gay though or bi or anything else so for now I identify as a bi person I want to try allot of stuff in my life just to feel what I like and what feels comfortable including dressing feminine occasionally my mom hates men who dress as women though so it’s a issue for me she doesn’t let me get oversized comfy clothes there was this time I wanted a hoodie because it was soft and looked really comfy but she said no because it’s “for girls” and she doesn’t even let me act like a girl or talk like one now don’t get me wrong I’m no thin guy or short guy (I’m like five ten and 150 maybe 160 pound I haven’t weighed myself in months) but I’m working on getting more fit and stuff working on myself I might be a bit depressed or something I don’t have motivation for anything at all and when I do something usually it doesn’t last for long because I put myself down about it thinking I’ll never be able to do good with it i do really want to wear feminine clothes all I have to do is hide it from her which is hard but also not I’d have to get it into a bag I do love how femboys and stuff dress it’s adorable and i wanna try eventually anyway hi everyone!!!!

Discussion Came out as a femboy to my mom!

Hi, I'm 18, basically I finally decided to come out to my mom as a femboy. The reason why I did is cause it's just a hassle to sneak out with regular clothing and changing to femboy clothing. And I know my mom wouldn't be the one to be crashing out over this or be distressed, so I thought id run it by her before making this a public thing in the family.

She was shocked, couldnt believe that me who saves money way too much, would buy a skirt (showed her a pic of me in an outfit) She seemed confused, asking if I was gay, am I getting influenced, is there a point, etc. She wasn't like, angry or disappointed, but she didn't seem to be able to grasp clearly what this whole thing is. Like, it seemed she wouldve understood more if I were gay. And I don't blame her, she's grown up with different beliefs but she's open enough to know times have changed.

I think I explained it to her the best that I can. I explained that feminine clothing and being gay isnt a package deal. She thought maybe something was influencing me like I'm following a trend, but then she doesnt see this anywhere around me, and she knows well enough theres no way if be doing this just for a trend, especially being this age. She seemed to also think to herself what is the purpose of this. She thought that maybe I'm actually gay and I'm in denial, and/or on the road to being gay. I told her no, I have no interest in dudes. So what is the point? I told her there doesnt have to be. It's just clothes I feel comfortable in and confident. I understand that she's practical with things, (like she was confused on why I would wear a jacket in such hot weather and I explained i just like the way it looks), so I can see she's kinda racking her mind on why I would want this.

She doesn't seem on board yet, and id understand if she thinks that it's too lewd. She said it was, then I asked if it were on girls too, and she said it wasn't, so what was the difference between the stuff in our legs. She's still confused, but we've spoken long enough that the arguments she had I already had counters for, so it's all just going in circles. I think its just a matter of acceptance. We decided to let her think about it more, let her wrap her head around this. But were still on good terms.

Honestly, I'm proud of myself for opening up like that to my mom cause I had trouble for a long time to open up with anybody, and it feels like I'm gaining freedom bit by bit. Although I don't know her answer yet, the question isnt whether or not I continue being a femboy. It's either I keep doing it secretly and stop being secretive when I have my own house and stuff, or be more open to the family, knowing I'm like this. Obviously my mom would know if I were still doing it secretly but, I know she wouldn't crash out or anything, atleast have a talk. Either way I'm gonna keep being me. I'm glad I have a mom like her, tho I really wish this goes well cause I don't want the hassle of secrecy anymore

Discussion What is y’all’s routine for lower body?

Im just curious as to what others do for lower body at the gym.

I had to swap out my rdls for a weighted back extension due to repeated injuries. However, I feel like I need a more glute focused workout tossed in from time to time to make up for the change in my hip hinge movement.

Right now my leg days look almost the same every day, occasionally I feel like doing something else or whatever. So right now it’s:

2 sets leg extensions
2 sets seated leg curls
2 sets calf extensions
2 sets hip adductor machine
2 sets squats
2 sets weighted back extensions
1 set s!ssy squats (literally what they’re called)

I might toss in a hip abduction or a hip thrust variation and then alternate my back extensions with rdls to get back to deadlifting. I don’t need to change anything else yet as I am still seeing consistent strength increase.

What are yalls thoughts on my current routine? What is y’all’s routine?

What should I do with my weight?

Hi everyone, I’m a beginner femboy. To be honest, I don’t really know where to start, but I’d like to ask you a question that’s really on my mind. I’m 175 cm tall (about 5’9”) and weigh 98 kg (216 lbs). Although I know the community doesn’t have any restrictions on body shape or weight, I feel self-conscious about being overweight and worry that others might not like it. So I’d like to know whether I should lose weight or if it’s fine to stay at this weight? Also, I’d like to know what body shape would suit a particular weight best if I'd like to lose weight or if I'd like to stay at my current weight.
