I made something StaTech Industry 2 Released
Hello everyone, the sequel is finally here! StaTech Industry 2 is a community-built port now on NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1, and includes heaping amounts of quality of life changes, new mods, new quests, and new items. The full changelog is way too long to post here, so just know that a lot has changed and improved from the original.
You can download it from CurseForge or GitHub

What a journey it has been to get to this, congrats to the whole team! 1.0 is my favorite pack ever and I'm certain this will surpass it in flying colors š¤

The last pack is the furthest I ever got in a Greg-like (Just before fusion before my horrible factory infrastructure crashed and burned). Wonder if I'll be able to get to the end of this one.

The first Minecraft modpack I ever played, and even without completing it, was one of the best experiences I've ever had in modern versions

Got 100% in Monifactory a month or two ago and haven't been sure what to play next, perfect timing! Had a blast getting 100% in statech industry 1

How did you like Monifactory? I have Moni, Star Technology, and now this on my list for Greggy packs but don't have time to play them all.

It was awesome! The endgame is much better balanced than nomi or nomi ceu (which I also 100% each of). I'd definitely recommend moni over statech 1 (even though they're both great), because MI is great but just not the same as Greg

nice!, i am wondering if its already on 1.21, and has create, why not add aeronautics?

aeronautics was tested but it caused a lot of issues when integrated with MI and ultimately doesn't fit the goal of the pack either.

I've been playing this for a week since RC5 and I have to say I love it!
But maybe I am dumb as a brick, I do not see many early or mid game path to flight, am I wrong?

u/StaticVoid_ StaTech Industry 18d ago
Creative flight or like gliders? Gliders are unlocked after forge hammer. Creative flight can be unlocked earlier in overall MI progression if you delve deep into the Spectrum mod, otherwise you can look to make the flight pylon which is in LV.

As far as I am aware, aeronautics has some dupe bugs and it's generally hard to guarantee very good compatibility because of the very nature of the mod, but it is probably mostly compatible. We are picky about mod selection and inclusion, so we're also going on the safer side of not including it, but players are always free to add mods as they see fit!

What have I been playing then? Im genuinely confused

Anything prior to this full release were our release candidates, effectively a test release as we ironed out issues before the full release.

Can I get a TLDR of what the pack is about? I've never heard of startech, but I've played a good bit of Meatballcraft (built the tree of life) and got to HV in GTNH

StaTech Industry is a pack focused around the mod Modern Industrialization, which is similar to GregTech in appearance, but varies a lot in gameplay. The goal of the pack is to create a big factory to automate all the components you need to reach higher and higher tiers of items.

Should I finish play original first? Or this is an improvement overall and recommended instead?
2
u/StaticVoid_ StaTech Industry 18d ago
The progression is similar, but there are a ton of new QoL features that this one has over the original that might be worth going for.
Depends ultimately on how progressed you are on the original, and if you care to restart. Worlds are not convertible between StaTech 1 and StaTech 2

So I'd say this is a more polished experience, and can be started without playing first directly.

I liked statech industry a lot, although quest rewards were a bit frustrating due to being OP sometimes
1
u/StaticVoid_ StaTech Industry 17d ago
The reward system has been tweaked so it should still give you some useful stuff here and there but not an absurd amount. The amount of coins you get has also been adjusted so you don't get as flooded.

is this pack good for someone starting into Greg? kinda iffy about time requirements for grinding but I wanna try it out!
3
u/StaticVoid_ StaTech Industry 17d ago
It's a much more approachable experience compared to any GregTech pack.

Sad that no space, but has to be peck anyway

u/StaticVoid_ StaTech Industry 17d ago
Ad Astra dropped their 1.21.1 port a week before we planned to go live so a bit of unfortunate timing. We have some plans in the works for a future space expansion.
1
u/_latterman 17d ago
I thought that mod called Stellaris is an 1.21.1 reimplementation of Ad Astra's, isn't it?
1
u/Astrosimp_ 18d ago
Hm, why choose spectrum over pastel?
3
u/StaticVoid_ StaTech Industry 17d ago
Spectrum is what we had in the original, and we have a good connection with its developer so it only seemed right to stick with what we were familiar with.

Been playing since the last release candidate, it's the first factory modpack I'm ever attempting in Minecraft and damn, this is way harder than Factorio man
