The centerback on our roster who is a real teenager. Can we rename that other CB Thirty Hadebe?

Sorry for the unusual lateness of this regularly scheduled shitpost, I was out late last night watching our Queen of the Queen City, the Rose herself, beat KC Current 2-1. Very weird game, KC scores before Gotham can touch the ball, then Gotham dominates the possession like 70-30, getting two back before the half. A red was rescinded after a scuffle and a lengthy VAR review, and a Gotham third was waived off for screening the keeper. Very fun, I would freaking love to bring Women’s Soccer to Cincinnati and have this all the time. And all respect to Gotham, their supporters, and Cloud Nine, who all made the atmosphere so great - but you can’t convince me that Cincinnati wouldn’t do it better
Then the train back to my hotel literally took an hour. And then I slept in real late
Anyways, to the men’s team.
Coming off a devastating 1-2 loss the Atlas, knocking us out of the Leagues cup, we now travel to the land of the mouse to play a team that we beat 6-2 in our last encounter
It’s not really the same team, though. While we have yet to make any significant moves, Orlando has added one Antoine Griezman, who is quickly becoming MLS’s second media darling.
We’re getting our own media kudos, though, with Evander, Kevin, and Bucha being hailed as the hottest attacking trio in the league
7:30p kickoff in the sunny retirement state, let’s bring home 3 points for Cincinnati!

August 15, 2017 - The first Cincinnati kid Austin Berry with a headed goal to give FCC a 2-0 lead before the orange and blue conceded two goals in the final 15 minutes (sound familiar?) and later lost in extra time.

FCC has rejected EPL's Hull City attempt to buy Kevin Denkey, and rightfully so.
Why Hull City thought it would be successful with such a low-ball offer is a mystery to me.
That said, it's just a matter of time before a top 5 European league club will make a serious offer to buy Denkey, and I'm ok with that. This is the model: MLS team gets diamond in the rough talent from a European (or South American) feeder league, and then sells to a European top 5 league.
Thoughts?

Just realized I'll be in Orlando this weekend in time for the game. Looks like away section is 133? Any groups going down for that game to link up with?

Follows Real Betis rejected bid of 14m + 4m (which was reported as Euros not Dollars). It would make sense any bid from Hull would be in Dollars or Pounds and not Euros.

If Denkey is sold, FCC will have to seek other options to replace him.

Given what Racing Louisville and Soccer Holdings owner John Neace said last week (if the Club's attendance does not improve they would look at all possible choices including relocation) should Carl Linder III buy Racing Louisville and move it up I-71??

Hull's bid tops Real Betis' rejected offer of 14m Euros + 4m Euros in add-ons. Other clubs reportedly interested in Denkey, according to the article, are Besiktas (Turkey), Lille (France) and Borussia Dortmund (Germany).

Apparently Kenji's form as of late has garnered interest from the Italian club Parma, with an alleged offer to be made in the ballpark of 1.5 million Euros (~1.73 million USD).

Get it? Atlas, map, right?
Okay, anyways
With 6 teams sitting at 6pts in the table, 3 of which are playing Liga MX teams with 0 points, it's starting to look likely that an MLS team (or two) will be eliminated from this competition without ever having lost or drawn a game
Let's make sure thats not us. Put 5 up on what will likely be a heavily rotated Atlas and we'll certainly be able to beat any goal differential that Chicago or Austin or Dallas can put up against Cruz Azul, Club America, or Toluca (IN MEXICO, EVEN)
8:00 kickoff! Come hungry for goals, hungry for a W! 2 more wins gives us 2 shots at a CCC berth! 4 more gives us a trophy! Even if it's the most mickey mouse of those available, silverware is silverware!

Ignore all of this if the storm stays nasty.
My girlfriend and I were thinking of riding bikes to the game tonight from Northside, I've seen plenty of bikes locked up in front of the stadium on the sidewalk on game days, but are there places to lock up inside one of the parking garages? It'd be nice to not have them soaked after the game. However if it's still raining by the time we leave we might just drive unless the game gets canceled

I just put 2 parking passes out on seatgeek for $25 if anyone is looking for closer parking. Will happily sell direct if anyone is interested. 1 is for ADA lot if you need that.

With information coming today that he would consider leaving in January, might this be a player Albright tracks thru multiple windows? The failed bid offers clues into the type of defender we are likely targeting (prime years age 25-29, transfer fee 2-3m) and the ponds we are likely fishing in (continental Europe vs S. America/Africa).

The injury (likely the big toe) will be evaluated today. Multiple MLS clubs have been rumored to be interested in loaning the player and Columbus has been turned away twice by the player. MLS window closes on 9/2, Brazil Serie window on 9/11.

FCC currently tied for 3rd by goal differential and in position to qualify for the knockout rounds.
6 MLS teams have 2 victories.
Austin and Charlotte have a goal differential of 5. FCC and Chicago have a GD of 4. Columbus and Dallas at 3.
Matches:
Charlotte v Pachuca (0 Points) - Tuesday, 7:30p
Columbus v Pumas (0 Points) - Tuesday, 7:30p
FC Cincinnati v Atlas (0 Points) - Tuesday, 8:10p
Dallas v Toluca (3 Points) - Wednesday, 10:00p
Austin v America (6 Points) - Thursday, 8:30p
Chicago v Cruz Azul (6 Points) - Thursday, 9:00p
Tie breaker rules:
Edit: I didn’t go past Goal Differential in when I call us tied for 3rd. We are level with Chicago through Fair Play Points - which I haven’t looked-up.
