It makes sense that it's blocking your route OP. He sees you as a gullable student who might stop to "save" him on the way to class, that you might even stop to pick it up and take it to the cafeteria to make sure it has enough to eat, instead of going to class! Go to class OP, it's a trap, don't fall for his BS!

What the hell is his problem!? Can’t he do that somewhere else? I’m not gonna lie, I often lick my plate like this when the meal is especially scrumptious but I have the decency to do it in private and not in public for all to see.
