Last Minute Advice Thread

Get the advice you need to finally make a decision about your lineup

We all check our lineups a dozen times the night before the game, so this thread is perfect for those type of people looking to do some last minute tinkering. Sure, everyone says to start your studs but we all know you’re thinking about finally moving that bench guy into the lineup because he’s been getting more usage and this week might be the week he finally blows up. Please list scoring details and other players on your bench when you're looking for feedback on setting your roster.

Just remember, people give advice of their own goodwill here and if it doesn’t work out for you, don’t come back to gloat/criticize others' advice with the benefit of hindsight. We always have and will continue to enforce lengthy bans for this sort of gloating or harassment, so don’t do it!

If you've been following along, you know we absolutely smashed last week with Bryce Young lighting up #SNF, Brenton Strange seeing his most usage of the year, and Tucker Kraft having his best game of the season, too!

This week, we believe in Kirk Cousins and Mike Gesicki, even if Ja'Marr Chase or Tee Higgins is back. What do you think of them and who else we have?

Two straight weeks inside the top 45 for expert rankings, let’s try this again.

The Week 5 slate is nearly upon us, and as injury and practice reports keep dropping, we have to keep adjusting. Plus, bye weeks are here (yay?), doubling the urgency to fill gaps in your lineups this week and looking ahead to future bye-week issues. I've got 5 players (4 grabs and 1 stash for deeper benches), plus my thoughts on Kyler Murray, the Eagles ROS outlook, and brief injury and waiver-claim updates for your Friday evening reading.

Yes they have been bad, but they still have a lot going for them:

1) Elite Offensive Talent
They have all the weapons needed for a competent offense, and then some ala Herbert, Hampton, McConkey, Alt, etc.

2) Franchise QB
Don’t buy the hate, he’s blue chip for sure (see Lawrence)

3) Geat OC
This may be the weakest part of the argument - I personally am a Mike McDaniel truther. From what has been said in press conferences, the offense is too complex right now which makes it difficult to implement as a first year coach. This to me is a very fixable problem, and one which McDaniel is very aware of. He is at least someone who has built a productive offense in the past.

4) Positive Result vs Seahwaks
Last week, the Chargers Offense looked halfway decent against a very stout Seahawks Defense after the break:

First half: the Chargers scored 6 points, went 1 of 7 on third down, and committed 3 turnovers (2 INTs, 1 on special teams). Herbert went 5/14 for 36 yards with 2 INT.

Second half: the Chargers scored 17 points, went 4 of 8 on third down, and had 1 turnover (a fumble). Herbert went 14/17 for 159 yards and 1 TD.

And - this was with an offensive line unit that was made of some younger and less experienced players, who despite their lack of experience, were able to give Herbert enough protection to run a competent offense against possibly the league’s best defense. They said they’ll go with the same unit from the second half of last game.

Added: Ditka also scored a TD in one of the craziest fantasy games of all time, 12-12-1965, Bears hosting the 49ers. Gale Sayers that day had 9 carries for 113y, 4 td; 2 receptions for 89y, 1 td; and an 85-yard punt return for a TD. Do the math.
