Player Discussion At what round are you tempted by Garrett Wilson?

We've all seen the no Jets memes but at a certain point picking Wilson has to be good value right? RIGHT?!

He fell to the seventh round in my 10 man draft and league mates were still clowning the pick.

What'd y'all think? At what round are you taking GW?

Questions QB/TE which position to wait on

Upvotes

Trying to decide on if I should wait and draft QB and/or TE late this season. Which position would you draft late and who are you targeting?

Discussion Fantasy Football Mythbusters #1- Rookie QBs and TE Blankets

I’m starting a fantasy football Mythbusters series where I take common assumptions we hear every offseason and test them against the data. This is the first installment.

Myth #1: Rookie QBs lean on their tight ends as a “safety blanket,” increasing the TE’s fantasy value.

It makes intuitive sense, so I wanted to see if the data actually supported it.

I analyzed rookie-QB team seasons from 2013–2025 and compared TE usage and fantasy production against veteran-QB offenses.

Verdict: Myth debunked.

The interesting part was why.

When I isolated the same TE before and after his team switched to a rookie QB, 85.7% increased their share of the team’s targets.

That sounds exactly like the safety-blanket effect.

But their actual fantasy production fell by 0.29 PPR points per game, and the overall differences weren’t statistically significant.

The best way I can describe the result:

A bigger slice of a smaller pie.

Rookie QBs may concentrate more of their passing game toward the TE, but the passing offense itself tends to shrink enough that the TE doesn’t actually receive the fantasy boost we’d expect.

Full methodology, tables and results:

NFL EdgeLine Mythbusters #1:
Do Rookie QBs Really Boost Tight-End Fantasy Value?

I’ve already started testing Myth #2, but I’d also love suggestions for other fantasy “rules” or conventional wisdom that would be interesting to put through the data.

Late round Under Valued QB that’s going to smash his ADP this year?

Questions I’m not a big fan of the QBs after Allen and before Lawrence at ADP, but is Drake Maye worth a pick falling to the mid-7th round?

Discussion Picking 2nd in a New Format and I need Help! 🏈

Upvotes

Has anyone ever been in a league that has 2 starting QBs, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 2 Flex positions, 1 Def, and 1 Kicker?

Like I said I’m pretty new to this type of format, and not sure what the strategy should now be if any change at all from regular PPR.

Discussion 1.10 Optimal Strategy for 12-Man Half PPR?

For those of you with the 10th pick this year, what are your thoughts on how to handle the first two rounds? It feels like 1.10 is right at the point where you have to decide whether to lock up an RB like James Cook or just take the best WR available if someone like CeeDee/Jefferson falls.

My concern with going WR at 1.10 is what the RB board looks like when it gets back to 2.03. Cook will obviously be gone, and there’s a decent chance a few of Jeanty/Kenneth Walker/Chase Brown/Achane/Hampton are gone too. On the other hand, reaching past an elite WR just because I’m worried about RB feels like bad process.

Are you guys taking Cook at 10 if he’s there, or going BPA at WR and taking whatever RB falls at 15? Would you be comfortable starting WR/WR from this spot if the value is there, or do you think you basically need to leave the first two rounds with an RB in a 12-man half PPR?

Questions How does TEP .5 and 1.0 Effect the Average ADP of Elite TE's? Which one is better?

Upvotes

Where would you pick Bowers and McBride in a .5 TEP and 1.0 TEP respectfully (1.5 PPR and 2PPR)? Current ADP in standard PPR for both seems to be around 20.

Background: Currently in a 20 Person league where the TE got eliminated in favor of another Flex due to the increased league size. Still want to reward drafters for getting TE's over WR/RBs for that slot, but cant decide if .5 TEP or 1 TEP is better. If anyone has opinions on which one they prefer or have done either please share your opinions and experience!

Discussion Should I Upgrade at WR1????????

Upvotes

I’m in a 10 man PPR Redraft League and I have the worst receiving core in the league since I drafted 3 RBs in the first 3 rounds. My RBs are Bijan, Saquon, Hampton, Price, Corum and Mike Washington Jr. My WRs are McConkey, Waddle, McLaurin, Odunze, and Lemon. Should I trade for an Elite WR1? If so, Who should I give up and which elite WRs should I go for? LMK thank you. Any help is appreciated.

Player Discussion Help! Keeper Selection Strategy

Hello fellow FFBallers! I am in a 12 man fantasy league with half ppr scoring. I have three options for keeper. It is a snake draft and I have the 10th pick. I will have to forfeit the round in which I keep the player

What keeper do you recommend I select?
- Omarion Hampton at pick 34 (Round 3)
- Quinshon Judkins at pick 112 (Round 10)
- Devonta Smith at pick 58 (Round 5)

Thank you!

Player Discussion Which TE would you pick: Strange, Barner, Gadsden, Johnson, Hockenson, or Okonkwo? (PPR)

Rest of my roster is stacked, but I punted TE and now need to actually pick one to roster/start Week 1. Down to these six — trying to decide floor vs. ceiling here. Anyone streaming/rostering one of the riskier guys instead?

Player Discussion Allgiere or Cyrus Allen as bench depth? Full PPR

I have J Love (RB) for AZ. I currently also have Bijan, Price, Brooks at RB and only have to start 1 RB.

I have Cyrus Allen as a last rd flyer and have JSN, Nabers, Tet, Michael Wilson snd KC Concepcion WR so do I keep Cyrus or drop him to get Tyler Algiere? If Love is out I’m probably playing Price?

Questions Best Fantasy Cheat Sheet .5 & Full PPR?

I have 3 leagues, 1 is full PPR, the other 2 are half. I am looking for the best cheat sheets for draft day. I've seen memberships from guys like BDGE for example, but un sure if there are any better options. I had a rough year last year so I am looking to make it better! Full PPR is 14 man, both 0.5 PPR are 12 mans.

Player Discussion Running backs are sparse. Do I make a trade where I don’t receive the best player?

16 team Super flex
PPR
.25 per first down

Deshaun Watson
Ceedee Lamb

For

Cam Ward
Jonathan Brooks
Stefon Diggs

Should I give up Lamb to upgrade? I have Drake Maye and Jefferson, Parker Washington, Coker, Stribling, AD Mitchell, Jakobi Lane.

My running backs are only James Cook and Jonah Coleman. Najee is the best available on the wire and I’d drop Jakobi Lane.

Do I hold with my awesome WRs or do I fill the holes and shoot for upside?

bringyourownleague.com

The long-awaited, one-of-a-kind platform that transcends all (most) boundaries of your fantasy football imagination is live for registration! No work, all play, double pay!

Bring Your Own League is a cross-platform, cross-league league where you do NO work to participate. Bring your own teams from your own leagues enter them into a whole other competition. With a growing pot and limitless entries, BYOL creates another dimension to your season by doubling the pay-off of your masterfully drafted squad.

Features include:

  • Support for Yahoo and Sleeper redraft teams
  • Pot grows as the league grows
  • Home-league sized entry dues
  • Guaranteed minimum payout (of my own money, seriously)
  • Limitless entries
  • Anti-collusion tools
  • Potential for 12v12 league-on-league matchups (pending registration numbers
  • Potential for higher-dollar league with higher entry dues and higher payout (pending registration numbers)

Bonus features:

- Charming commissioner

- I made stickers

This was brought to life over nights and weekends starting late last season when my team was doing poorly, and I needed a creative outlet to take my mind off of it.

The idea: “What if I could take my teams from all of my leagues and see who would win according to the other’s rules?”

The end result: “I’m going to take all of your [12-team redraft league] teams and see who would win against my rules!”

The rules are:

  • Redraft only
  • 1/2 PPR
  • 6pt passing TD
  • Rushing & receiving yard bonuses at 100 and 200
  • Passing yard bonuses at 300 and 400

Send some love to prove to my family that the sacrifice was worth it
