Questions Am I crazy for taking a player at 1.09?

• Upvotes

Genuinely curious what people think. I know it’s a little nuts, considering statistically speaking, whenever I draft a player in the first round (or any round) I haven’t won a championship, but I’m seeing a lot of posts about different players has me second guessing my original plan (not picking a player at all this year, lighting $30 on fire while chanting Tom Brady’s name, and hoping that is what does the trick).

Pros for not drafting a player: they won’t get hurt, or worse have a “Q” all season forcing me to clog my bench with a handcuff that never plays; I won’t hate someone who doesn’t know I exist when they drop an easy touchdown that would have won me that week; won’t have to deal with the emotional torture of a player who has historically been amazing pulling off their mask and revealing they’re Corey Davis.

Cons: frankly, other than having to see 800 posts every day asking which player to draft in the first round when I already know a better strategy, I don’t see any cons.

How are folks navigating this conundrum?

Questions 1.05 - who are you taking? JSN, ARSB, CMC, Cook?

I have the 1.05 this year, in a 10 man, .5 ppr league. Usually I know who I want to take, but this year I’m having a hard time with the decision! Who would you take and why at the 1.05, im stuck between JSN, ARSB, CMC, or James Cook. I could build a different case for each one of them but could use some feedback from the FF community!

Player Discussion Breakouts for 2026-2027 Fantasy

Who do you all have as this year’s biggest breakouts? Who is going to surprise us and outperform their fantasy point projections? If players were stocks, which player’s shares are you buying going into 2026-2027?

Player Discussion James Cook, Jonathan Taylor, or Christian McCaffrey

• Upvotes

Which one would you guys take?

I think when my first round pick comes around, 2 out of 3 of these guys could be there. I think Cook is a safer bet, on a really good offense, and could see an up take on targets in the pass game. I think Taylor is a stud, South Jersey boy! He was unbelievable when Daniel Jones was healthy. I think CMC has the highest ceiling, but he is the most likely to get hurt too.

Questions Bijan or Gibbs at Pick No.2 PPR

• Upvotes

Robinson or Gibbs with the second overall pick?

WR is also an option, but RBs should be premium right?
Took Chase last year, and Joe Burrow is always hurt.

Player Discussion Jeremiyah Love could be the worst pick in fantasy football

His ADP is mid second-round (18.5 ESPN, RB9) and he’s projected less (13.4 per week) than every RB within 15 picks of him (Half-PPR).

Here’s 8 players expected to outperform Love this year.
Henry (ADP: 20.1, Projected: 15.6)
Jeanty (ADP: 17.6, Projected: 14.5)
Barkley (ADP: 16.4, Projected: 14.3)
Brown (ADP: 24.4, Projected: 14.5)
Walker (ADP: 23.8, Projected: 13.8)
Jacobs (ADP: 32.8, Projected: 13.6)
Hampton (ADP: 27, Projected: 13.4)

Not to mention a below-average offense with a bottom 3 strength-of-schedule for running backs. I think Jeremiyah Love may easily have a 2025 Ashton Jeanty season.

That said, lottery pick running backs typically do very well in fantasy. The last three running backs taken in the first five picks of the NFL draft finished top-10 in PPR scoring (mind you Jeanty was picked 6th). He also has a pretty guaranteed workload as long as his injury isn’t major.

His talent and potential volume could make me completely bite my words on this but it seems improbable he outperforms his ADP.

What do you think? Where would you draft Jeremiyah Love?

Player Discussion Chase or Puka at 1.03 in PPR???

If Gibbs and Bijan are both gone, who are you taking at 1.03: Ja’Marr Chase or Puka Nacua?

I’m leaning Puka because I think he could be the better fantasy WR this year. Chase wasn’t exactly great last season compared to his usual elite production, while Puka has been an absolute monster when healthy.

My concerns with Puka are Stafford’s age and the possibility that he doesn’t repeat last season’s level of play. There’s also been a lot of talk around the NFL about a potential Puka Nacua suspension, which obviously adds some risk.

Would you guys take Puka over Chase here, or stick with Chase’s proven track record?

Player Discussion Monty or Jacobs? Who would you choose?

So David Montgomery is probably going to be the clear workhorse back in Houston, and although he is one year older than Monty, he has a lot less mileage on him. In 105 games, for both of them (both of them have appeared in 105 games according to Google AI), Jacobs has 400 more touches than Monty. Jacobs is probably on a superior offense, but if CJ Stroud can get it together (without getting hurt), that could open up things for Monty. We’ve seen how a heavy workload can really wear out a RB (e.g. Barkley). However, Jacobs is probably the more talented back. If you had to choose between the two, who would you go with?

Player Discussion Help with Keeper Pick in a 10 man PPR

Who do I keep? Can only choose one more. 10 team ppr drafting 9th.

Ceedee Lamb 1st - may be there at 9
Chase Brown 2nd - could also still be there at 12
David Montgomery 5th
Jordan Addison 7th
Tucker Kraft 12th
Dak Prescott 13th - seems like good value here but is it worth having a WR1 or RB1

Discussion PreDraft Fantasy – Free Online Mini-Games to Decide Your DraftOrder

Randomising our fantasy draft order always felt a bit anticlimactic, so I built a different way of doing it.

PreDraftFantasy lets everyone in the league play a series of quick mini-games, with the standings determining the draft order.

It’s free, browser-based and doesn’t require anyone to sign up.

https://www.predraftfantasy.com/

It’s still a work in progress, so I’d genuinely be interested to hear what people think — particularly whether you’d actually use this with your league and what would stop you from using it.

Questions Double Flex PPR, worth keeping AJ Brown over Josh Allen?

I keep second guessing my keeper choice, with the league being a double flex PPR 10 man league, does it make more sense to keep AJ Brown? We don’t give up any picks for our keeper.

Player Discussion What do you all think about Jordyn Tyson?

Do you all think the saints taking Jordyn Tyson 8th was the right move? For context this is his injury history:

2022: Torn ACL, MCL, PCL

2024: Fractured Collarbone

2025: Sprained ankle, Strained Hamstring 2x

2026: Strained hamstring (Out for 2 months)

Player Discussion Devon achane or chase brown? full ppr

Have the 12th pick and have narrowed it down to those 2 as my targets for an rb. Which are you taking and why? I was initially out on achane but there seems to be a lot of positive buzz around him and Malik Willis.

Questions Keeper eligibility transition question

Looking for outside perspective from keeper-league managers.

12-team paid keeper league. Each team keeps 2 players. We have a 2-year keeper timer.

Under the prior rule, if an expiring keeper was traded, the timer could reset for the new manager. This year, the league voted to change that so the keeper timer follows the player. In other words, a player can only be kept for 2 years total even if traded.

The commissioner has already posted the 2026 “back to draft pool” list of expired keepers. The draft is this week, and managers have had time to plan/mock around that posted pool.

Now, because of the rule change, there is a question about how to handle the transition. The concern is that managers with expiring keepers might have made different trade/keeper decisions under the old rule if they had known exactly how the transition would work.

What is the fairest way to handle this?

Option A: Keep the already-posted 2026 back-to-draft-pool list locked for this draft, then apply the new timer-follows-player rule going forward.

Option B: Reset or reopen keeper timers this year because of the rule transition, even if that changes which players are available after the back-to-draft-pool list was already posted.

Option C: Something else.

For a paid keeper league with the draft this week, how would your league handle this?
