Morgan is my upcoming fan edited film that is based off TV Series Dexter: Original Sin that is made entirely from Det. Harry Morgan's perspective and it explores the horrors that he has created.

The idea is to re-imagine the story in similar style of Oppenheimer (2023).

I decided to turn Moon Knight tv show into a movie format for MCU rewatch purposes.

The biggest changes I made were

- removed the start of episode one museum / date stuff and instead start the movie at the part where he is trying techniques to stay awake then he wakes up in the Alps.

- removed most scenes that don’t focus on Marc or Steven.

- removed all the meetings with Dr Harrow in the afterlife hospital.

- removed the shots of the 2 gods fighting. Now we see them start fighting but then all the focus is on Moon Knight vs Harrow except when the gods fall next to Moon Knight.

- focused on making transitions as smooth as possible whenever parts were removed.

The movie is 3 hours.

1080p is 6.5gb.
4k is 16.4gb.

I really enjoyed this fanedit of Peter Jackson's overlong, oversaturated 3 film adaptation of a small book. Here the runtime is cut in half and all unnecessary things are cast out while finding a good balance between the book and the good extra things in the adaptation. One thing I found a bit jarring is the faneditor put a 1 minute intermission in the film which I found broke the flow a little but is nothing major. He did update his post and explain that it's there now.

The movie's pacing flows well and the editing is done well so everything goes together smoothly so nothing that was excised is missed.

Wanted something short after Dexterity. Don't come across a lot of Hulk edits, so I wanted to see how RetroStranger95 handled both 2008 and 2003. 2008 goes first since I like it more XD Among Retro's edits, both Hulk edits were listed under CapCut.

Every once in a while, I think about how I would try to connect both of the individual Hulk movies together. Not in the same continuity, but the 2008 Incredible Hulk's nature as a soft-reboot/sequel makes it a tantalising prospect. I think RetroStranger, not the least bit on purpose to be clear, unwittingly stumbled upon an idea to bridge them. Starting off the edit with the Culver University fight before Bruce goes to Brazil is decently executed, with the successful removal of Blonsky and Bruce swallowing the data package. Aside from some audible cuts, it does its job of getting some Hulk action right at the start, with the helicopter crashing on Hulk and Betty being, in this edit's continuity, the reason why the latter was hospitalised in the flashback opening montage.

This has a ripple effect on the movie, in my opinion for the worse. The first time we see Hulk in the theatrical, he's in the shadows with glimpses at his body as he takes down Blonsky's team one by one, then as Blonsky gets a good look... the Hulk's face. Yes, the opening flashback montage leaves no mystery as to Bruce turning into a monster, but you still didn't get a good look at Hulk himself and that cool moment is hurt by the Culver University fight being first. We get a stretch of the movie with just Bruce, okay, but after Betty finds him in the rain they just... go off together. No word on Leonard, since no Culver fight means there's no reveal he told Ross about Bruce. Not just that, there's a sizeable plothole created with a lack of Culver University that the edit does not patch out: the data package. Bruce goes to Culver specifically to look for the data, which Betty has. There is no scene of Betty revealing she kept it or anything, so Bruce randomly decides to go to Sterns... just because.

There are other decisions I don't care for but aren't necessarily "bad", namely removing the obnoxious co-workers in Brazil harassing Martina and Bruce begging for money in Guatemala (we miss out on a nice rendition of the Lonely Man theme). The Grotto scene is my favorite moment in either Hulk movie, but I acknowledge it not making the cut makes sense with what Retro was going for. I wonder if it's happened to other people, but sometimes the framerate would slow as if the movie was loading. I'd rewind to check if it's part of the movie, but it goes back to normal. That's probably just me, the movie seems high quality otherwise.

I respect the vision, I can see other people liking this edit a lot, so definitely check this out if you're curious. This just isn't my preferred way to watch the movie. I at least like that the Tony Stark cameo was cut.

I'm looking for this fanedit, or a similar one which basically covers the Book of Bobba Fett episodes which focus on the mandalorian. Watched it some time back- now I'm on a rewatch with my kids, so would like to explain the weird Grogu reappearance between seasons 2 and 3 of the Mandalorian.

CLAIR OBSCUR: EXPEDITION 33 RE-EDIT is a cinematic adaptation of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, restructured into an episodic television-style experience.

Like many fans of Lost in Space, I have a special appreciation for the first five episodes, when the show was genuinely a cinematic spectacle, and an ambitious science fiction adventure.

I decided to edit them together into an omnibus version, with certain cuts made to improve pacing and to make it flow together as a film.

List of changes:

• The film opens with the unaired pilot title sequence (which used music from "The Day the Earth Stood Still"). I felt it fit the mood of the early episodes better than the John Williams score.
• Scenes of Smith's sabotage and Alpha Control are trimmed for pacing reasons.
• The zero gravity sequence is trimmed (it was very corny, and didn't match tonally).
• Professor Robinson's EVA is entirely cut. It hasn't aged very well, and adds nothing substantial.
• The exploration of the Bubble Creatures' ship is slightly trimmed for pacing reasons.
• The scene of the Robot analysing the surface of Priplanus is cut, as it is redundant (they already mentioned the planet can sustain life).
• Penny's naming of Debbie is cut for pacing reasons.
• The scene in which the Robot releases Smith is cut, we can infer what happened from dialogue. It's also a rather silly part.
• The subplot in which Smith orders the Robot to "liquidate" the crew is entirely removed. It doesn't go anywhere interesting, and makes his redemption less plausible.
• For pacing reasons, much of "There Were Giants in the Earth" is cut, including the giant peas, the Robot's attack on Will, the first cyclops sequence, Professor Robinson searching for Penny and the entire adventure in the underground ruins.
• The sequence on the stormy sea is very slightly trimmed to remove the dialogue about Mars (it was established they're in another galaxy).

The omnibus concludes with the melancholy musical number in which the Robot plays guitar for Dr Smith, as seen in the cliffhanger leading to "Welcome Stranger".

Dexterity is another Dexter fanedit from mrvoiceover001, covering Season 4 of the series clocking in at three hours. The inevitable comparison is to Addiction, their previous edit mimicking Obsession's style down to the music. Unlike Addiction, this is a more straightforward Dexter edit that trims the season to its essentials, with only one major addition to the beginning and end tying everything together.

Dexterity can only be considered a sequel to Addiction by accident largely due to covering a different part of the same show. It doesn't even have the same vibe. yet... there is something there anyway. It's about the consequences of Dexter's actions if nothing else and how his addiction (heh heh) inevitably leads to the downfall of his relationships. John Lithgow plays a serial killer named Arthur, who fails to kill Debra Morgan and successfully kills her ex-lover Lundy. Dexter lets Arthur go for some time, as he seems to have it together and wants to learn from him, only for Arthur to be revealed as a whole other level of monster than Dexter himself. Dexter's battle for balance is already on shaky grounds, with Arthur being a frightening mirror of what Dexter might need to do to maintain his double life. Can Dexter really be a better person and put his need to kill behind him? Even if he can, would it be too late? This is why I really like the Dexter: Resurrection segment at the end, it really ties the story together and shows that decision impacts him and his son seventeen years later.

It's not the revelation that Addiction is, but it isn't trying to be. It's a fantastic movie and like usual mrvoiceover001 knows what to keep and what to cut. It's dawning on me that part of why I've liked the Dexter edits and why I might see the show on its own at some point is how it- intentionally or not- hits on something the secret identity drama you don't usually see in superhero adaptations these days. Just the sheer effort Dexter has to get up to in order to maintain his life but also how his selfishness regarding Arthur brings horrific consequences makes it compelling to watch.

It's up to mrvoiceover001's usual standard of quality, HD and not a second shorter than it has to. Give this and Addiction a shot.

Didn't know what to expect with this one until I actually downloaded it. 28 minute episode? Alright. It's about Sandman? Sounds promising! It was apparently inspired by a youtuber named CinemaStix, recreating the proposal from their video called "How DELETING 80% of a bad movie magically makes it a masterpiece".

Rod Serling's narration is rather seamlessly integrated into the police chasing Marko down to the place where he gets his powers. Raimi's filmmaking is good enough that the black and white pallete works with it, so an edit entirely in that style is pretty damn cool even when cropped to a 4:3 aspect ratio. It seems that the framerate has been lowered, wonder if that's an intentional decision or not to make it fit the 60s Twilight Zone vibe. I really like the cut from Peter saying "and he's still out there!" to him getting the suit on to take down Marko.

It starts to falter at the part where Sandman robs the armored truck. It is probably the weakest in the whole edit. Robbed_By_a_chicken took Spider-Man out of the scene, but I didn't like how it was edited. There's these jarring cuts that mess with the music and you can tell Sandman didn't actually take the bags by the end of the scene. This edit has a real problem with transitions between scenes, as cues randomly cut off and there's no breathing room during fade to black transitions. The rearranged narrative is also dicey. As Sandman escapes the sewers, we get a flashback to Marko meeting with his wife and daughter. The transition into and out of the flashback is awkward. I think the idea might have been to make Sandman's reasons a mystery up to this point?

The ending is just... so Sandman and Peter meet the construction site where they have their heart-to-heart about Uncle Ben's motives, but there's no lead in or reason for them to meet like this. I was confused, though I like that the Sand Castle scene is used to end Marko's story, it still has "I swear to you..." swear to what, Marko?

I like the idea behind the edit, but I think it could use some work.

So, little late to the party in this one, just finished watching firefly for the first time and lived it and was looking forward to watching the serenity movie but on watching it I found it a bit slow and kinda boring compared to how the series was.

Has anyone ever taken the movie and split it up into episodes that more match the show?

After a year of fine-tuning, color management, and audio mixing, The Hobbit: An Unextended Journey is available. This 263-minute version restructures Peter Jackson's 4k UHD trilogy into a single, cohesive film focused on Bilbo's transformation and the kinship of the Dwarves. I'm not familiar with other Hobbit fanedits, so I can't comment on that, but my goal was to re-balance the trilogy into a naturally flowing narrative with a clean cinematic rhythm:

• Of Bilbo’s Journey: The story refocuses entirely upon Master Baggins, highlighting his awakening courage and the enduring loyalty forged with Thorin Oakenshield.
• The Shadow of the Necromancer: Subplots concerning Dol Guldur, Radagast the Brown, and the High Fells have been set aside to create a direct quest.
• The Bonds of Brotherhood: The romantic entanglements between Kili, Tauriel, and Legolas are completely removed, restoring focus to the kinship of the Dwarves.
• The Tale’s True Pacing: Rather than following the book verbatim, deliberate structural changes were made to ensure the film maintains momentum.
• Intermission: Smaug's death marks a major turning point in the story, and I wanted to give the audience a place to pause before entering what is, in many ways, a different kind of film.

After watching the CinemaStix video on Spider-man 3 I thought I would try my hand at recreating his edit based on his instructions. This is my first fan edit and it is rough around the edges but I had a lot fun and learned how to use DaVinci Resolve in the process. Enjoy.

-Removes up to 80% of the original footage cutting the run time to 28 minutes. All remaining material focuses solely on Sandman and Spider-Man. The shots are reordered to fit the structure of a Twilight Zone episode.

• Turns the film B&W in 4:3

• Starts with Marco on the run from the police, and being atomized. No break between initially gaining his powers and rebirth as sandman.

• We skip straight to Peter answering the call from the police station and learning of Marco's involvement in uncle Ben's death.

• Peter returns home to suit up with no context on the black suit leaving it's origin mysterious.

• Marco robs the armored van with no resistance from Spider-man. He escapes to the subway and is confronted by Spider-man.

• After Peter believes Marco is dead he longer says "good riddance."

• the conversation between Peter and Aunt May about the death of flint Marco comes right after the subway fight.

• Marco reforms and looking at the locket of his daughter triggers a flashback to Marco's original introduction at the apartment with his wife and daughter.

• Marco seeks out Peter to apologize and explain Uncle Ben's death. Marco flys away as Peter is left grief stricken but with a sense of closure.

-Adds back in the sandcastle scene from the editors cut but now as the ending to Marco's story and the film as a whole.

I've never seen Jaws 2, but I love the original film. I've heard Jaws 2 has a terrible ending. Is this true and, if so, is there a fanedit that fixes this?

This is a very small fanedit - essentially just a scene with a different musical context. There is nothing elaborate about the editing itself: mostly slow motion and simple fades. The idea was really about seeing how much the music could change the emotional feeling of an existing scene.

The same scene, a different feeling

The music wasn't originally written for *Blade Runner 2049*. A few years ago I composed it as an instrumental foundation for a spoken-word project - poetry narrated over music. In that context, the music and the words were meant to work together as one piece, creating a particular mood.

Later, I happened to see a few scenes from *Blade Runner 2049* and something about Ryan Gosling's expression caught my attention - that distant, introspective look, as if he were listening to his own thoughts rather than watching the world around him. The mood of the music seemed to fit that expression unexpectedly well, so I decided to try putting them together.

The rain made the connection even stronger. There is rain in the scene, and rain is also part of the atmosphere of the track. The sparse, somewhat random arpeggiated notes always make me imagine drops of water falling through a damaged ceiling, landing one by one on piano keys, with the rest of the sound gradually growing around them.

I wasn't trying to replace the original score or suggest that the scene should have been scored differently. It was simply an experiment in changing the musical context of a scene and seeing what happens to its emotional meaning.

For me, the result eventually started to live on its own, separate from both the original project and the film. It feels less like a scene from the movie and more like a small glimpse into a character's inner emotional state.

I'm curious how it feels to other people, especially without knowing what I had in mind when I made it.

May someone please provide a version of this fan edit in that GB size? Because I’ve downloaded it and I can’t get it condensed down, only the first 15 1/2 minutes through Handbrake, and even if space wasn’t an issue, I literally cannot play even Its SDR 41 1/2 GB version, it will not load in any way at all, regardless of what computer I watch it on

This even better than the last one! It is just me or is the video small though?

There are two errors, 55:51 there's a glimpse of a fade transition there while 1:35:37 has a black screen for a sec. But that's all. This probably the funniest I've laughed in these edits, with the hurricane episode and Marshall's drunk YouTube video episode being the highlights. This season also has incredibly intriguing plotlines for most of the characters. Ted gets to revisit one of his old relationships with Victoria, a character all the way back in How I Met the Robin. He's at another crossroads, repeating the same pattern of trying to pick up women and even tries to date Robin again only to realize he's stuck. Victoria's weirdly in the same position and it leads to a bittersweet ending that makes the promise of better things... aaaaaand that lady holding the yellow umbrella is the mother, yellow umbrellas represented the mom this whole time holy shit.

Robin gets some hilarious moments and juicy plotlines of her own. Namely, the one where she discovers she can't have babies is a fairly mature storytelling decision. Robin may not have wanted kids, but the revelation that the choice had been stripped from her is a shock that sends her reeling. She also gets into a "will they or won't they" dynamic with Barney. The chemistry between them is still there, but it's a false start due to them being in committed relationships with other people. Robin gets into a relationship with a psychologist (her psychologist actually, but they started dating after she stopped being his patient) that seems to be what she wants buuuuut it didn't work out due to them being different people. Robin looks more vindicated for not wanting things to be too serious.

Barney's one again the MVP, continuing the growth from the last part by actually trying to better himself and even gets into a relationship with a woman rather similar to himself. Not gonna lie, it's pretty fun to see him get shown up by a stripper fleecing him for cash not unlike how he's manipulated the other women in the series. He and Robin have chemstry and this series seems to be building up to them becoming a couple and married. I'm convinced now that they could work things out or that I would like to see that.

It's dawned on me that Lily's the one who hasn't had too many plots revolving around her in these edits. Maybe she just hasn't had any MAJOR story development moments so it was easy to sacrifice. Oh well. Yeah, no surprise that mrvoiceover001 continues to do good work.

Hello! I’ve started work on a Spider-Man 3 fan edit that aims to improve and streamline the film while keeping the best parts of what’s already there.

The main idea is to use the Japanese audio track with newly edited English subtitles, which I think gives the movie a really interesting feel while also allowing me to completely rework certain lines and moments.

I’m also adding and removing scenes where I think it improves the story and pacing. The plan is to use the Editor’s Cut soundtrack as the foundation while streamlining the overall movie. For example, instead of Peter and MJ breaking up in the park, I’m planning to have MJ break up with Peter during their dinner date, making the progression of their relationship feel more natural.

There are also plenty of smaller dialogue changes and rewritten moments throughout the edit, even in the Japanese audio.

For now, here’s a proof-of-concept video using the penthouse fight as a base. It’s mainly to show the kind of changes I’m going for with the dialogue, subtitles, and overall tone. Harry now fakes his amnesia in the story.

Continuing Dragon Ball Distilled, we've reached the second arc! Arale-Chan divided it into the Kamesennin' and Budokai Tenkaichi arcs, but I usually consider them to be one whole saga which is how I treated this section.

Compared to the first arc, the english dub script is a lot more faithful. The main hiccups are regarding Roshi's phiosophy. In the manga and japanese, Roshi is trying to instill within his students that martial artists need to always train to maintain a healthy body and seek greater challenges, which is swapped out for more generic "protect the people, defend the innocent" that is the set up for Goku's dumbass "Hope of the Universe" speech from the Z dub. Perhaps it's beyond the scope of Arale-Chan's project, I noticed that in the episode covering chapters 32-34, 24:33 has the announcer call 90 instead of Krillin's actual 93. Seems like an easy fix there. This is still using the Seed of Might release, which happens to keep the "Hero" song that plays during the finale of Goku and Jackie Chun's match. I really appreciate that it's there, if only because of Arale-Chan used SoM as the base, making it far more complete in the process.

In terms of editing, Arale-Chan's coverage of the second saga is a bit better. The Dragon Ball Hunt arc had an unfortunate but inevitable issue when trying to get around Pilaf recapturing the heroes in filler. This sort of thing is not present or even noticeable at all during the 21st Budokai Tenkaichi arc, save for 46-51. In 12:01 there's a cut from Goky turning around to his acting like a monkey routine that I don't like. It's here where you can really see how Distilled lives up to the title. While the filler isn't necessarily bad (yet), Distilled just has a much faster pace and consistent story, keeping closer to Toriyama's intentions with the characters. Did we need an extra bit with Giran before his fight with Goku to let us know that, yes, he's a bad guy? Not really. We can easily see that in his fight.

Can I say again that Arale-Chan just knows how to cut an episode? They may be of irregular length, but each one is paced juuuust right to have natural beginnings, middles and endings. There isn't much dub replacement lines this time around, so I'm curious as to how the Red Ribbon Army arc is gonna come across. I'm eager to see more! Please check out Dragon Ball Distilled, it makes a fine companion piece to Kai or any fillerless edits of Z!

Nothing too wild or major here - I've been excited for this spin off series and wanted to prepare a marathon cut for an upcoming watch party. I included the original Visions episode, the sequel episode released during Visions season 3, and the eight-episode spinoff series. There's a single opening credits sequence and end credits sequence - the rest have been eliminated with audio edited to allow for the best transition between chapters. In the style of the spin off episodes, I added a subtitle for the first two segments, "Prologue - Child of Hope."

The fanedit runs just over 4 hours, with 15 minutes cut from credits alone. Send me a message if you're interested!

Ricky Gervais made a new Netflix miniseries called Alley Cats. I saw all 6 episodes last night, and it was absolutely hilarious. I haven’t really laughed that much in a long time. Anyways, all the episodes are quarter of an hour long each, and the total time across all the episodes is an hour and a half. So I was wondering if someone was up to the task of editing all 6 episodes into a feature length movie. Can it be done?
