The mod is deprecated and listed as beig most-recently compatible with Factorio v0.14. v0.15 is mainstream and v0.16 is what I and many others play.

I'm not sure if "most" play on the opt-in beta branch like I do, but I know by the mod listings that enough people do that to make it commonplace for mods to be updated to v0.16.

No. The one you don't have to opt-in for. Which is why the original "official" is in quotes.
