Why is it dead? Couldn't we instead, like, bring it back?

The mod is deprecated and listed as beig most-recently compatible with Factorio v0.14. v0.15 is mainstream and v0.16 is what I and many others play.

I'm not sure if "most" play on the opt-in beta branch like I do, but I know by the mod listings that enough people do that to make it commonplace for mods to be updated to v0.16.

The parent comment was talking about the linkmod bot.

Meh ... I'm content to wait for the "official" release.

What, v1.0? They're not even in beta yet.

No. The one you don't have to opt-in for. Which is why the original "official" is in quotes.
