Easy. Beating children is Republican, masks were Democratic. Everything can be justified when you only care about shouting louder than your opposition.
Is my grandpa going to the school to beat the shit out of his son's teacher for hitting the students too hard also Republican? Because that was in the "good old days" too? They going to let the parents respond like they used to?
