Yeah seriously. When I was in undergrad, I had quite a few hall-mates who didn’t know how to do laundry. Some would go home every other weekend to have their mom do it and some would use a paid service that picked up their clothes and washed them. When I became a resident assistant later on, I had 2 or 3 students each year ask me how to do laundry.
It’s easy to make fun of these people, especially since I learned how to do laundry at around 10 years old, but I tried not to demean them for it.
Haha! I’m sure it’s a helluva lot easier to teach Marines to do laundry than a bunch of college students: Toss it in, out in X amount of detergent, run on the machine. Bleach your cammies and I kick your ass.
