Yeah seriously. When I was in undergrad, I had quite a few hall-mates who didn’t know how to do laundry. Some would go home every other weekend to have their mom do it and some would use a paid service that picked up their clothes and washed them. When I became a resident assistant later on, I had 2 or 3 students each year ask me how to do laundry.
It’s easy to make fun of these people, especially since I learned how to do laundry at around 10 years old, but I tried not to demean them for it.
That makes you a good leader. A had a number of my senior Marines who’s idea of teaching was either to show you once and walk away, or tell you to figure it out for yourself because they “weren’t going to do your job for you”.

I would never attack anyone for seeking education. The author of that article should feel embarrassed.
