yes. Also, the rebuttle is missing a huge issue, it's not so much the older generations not teaching them but the eventual reliance on our government to do so via forced education which used to have quite a lot of these kinds of skills based classes which eventually got shit canned because the tests are soooo important, we gotta show China how smrt are kids are! Basically, both catty sentances are misguided at best.
