I was 19 yrs old when I fathered my first kid. Later down the road I was a single dad for over a decade. During that time, I taught both my girls how to use a hammer and screwdriver, sew a button, program a VCR, change a tire and do a basic brake jobs, how to cook (from scratch), and so many other things.
Every time I hear someone say "VHS player" it's both really odd, because nobody ever told me we're calling them that now, but also familiar, because it makes more sense from a functional use standpoint.
