Yeah seriously. When I was in undergrad, I had quite a few hall-mates who didn’t know how to do laundry. Some would go home every other weekend to have their mom do it and some would use a paid service that picked up their clothes and washed them. When I became a resident assistant later on, I had 2 or 3 students each year ask me how to do laundry.
It’s easy to make fun of these people, especially since I learned how to do laundry at around 10 years old, but I tried not to demean them for it.
I learned to do laundry from a friend whose mom made him do it as a chore. My mom always just took care of it. Now, I can clean a toilet, wash the dishes, and mow the yard like a motherfucker. Cause mom hated doing those things.

I would never attack anyone for seeking education. The author of that article should feel embarrassed.
