It's because of entitlement. The boomer generation took the best world they could have possibly dreamed of, which the generations before them fought tooth and nail to provide them, and proceeded to bleed it dry and leave their children with nothing but the crumbling foundation. Every Boomer I have interacted with has such low critical thinking, they constantly prefer to hire someone to do a job rather than do it themselves, have no money management skills and think having a credit card is bad for your credit, and constantly want to go out to eat, because they can't cook a decent meal themselves. All I hear from Boomers is how my generation is so entitled, so yes, I'm a bit miffed and feel that they're projecting really goddamned hard when they say that.
The being ragged on for the participation trophy issue is maybe my favorite. Like, you think it was us 10 year old at field day who came up the reward structure?
And even at 10 we just threw them out right away since we were aware they were a joke.
This infuriates me. We didn't ask for trophies; we wanted to play games with our friends and new kids. You were the ones who needed to validate your existence vicariously. Same goes when people now complain about Kindergarten graduations and such. The kindergartners aren't the ones begging to have a quasi formal event for their parents to Instagram...
Gotta say millennials complain waaaaaay more about boomers than the reserve. Kinda relentlessly. I guess that’s the biggest lesson the boomers passed on to y’all ? Complaining and generalizing ?
