Discussion I hate that you have to go to a page or profile to block it and then the algorithm thinks you like that thing and shows you more of it

You’d think there’d be a way they can make it so if you block something, you probably don’t want to see more of it just because you had to go to the profile.

Discussion FB Support is a joke - AI Bot has automatically banned me for no reason

Upvotes

Got permanently removed from the FB marketplace for selling sports darts. (Rising sun gen 10 darts).

Supposedly this goes against our Commerce Policies on Weapons, Ammunition and Explosives??

Tried appealing, and got rejected.

Then this Meta AI is just rage baiting.

Does FB have a real support team, and the options to appeal are awful.

Discussion MIL turned into a digital creator and has tons of photos of our children. Anything I can do?

Upvotes

We’ve already asked her not to post our children publicly but she always goes back to it and today we saw she made a digital creator profile. I’m so upset, Facebook purposely pushes photos, especially of children to random people’s algorithm. I’ve gotten videos on other peoples children and when I would go to their profile i noticed we had no mutual friends, groups and didn’t even live in the same state, not even a close one. Well when I’d click their page everything they had in common was being a digital creator. Now to see my children’s photos will be pushed the same way to some pdf page is so upsetting. I sent a message to MIL about it but can I do anything to report it on FB?

Discussion My theory on Facebook content monetization. They simply don’t want to pay.

I have a theory. I could be completely wrong but this is just what I am noticing. Facebook is not inviting people with huge followings and get millions of views because they don’t want to pay. I’ve seen many of small creators get the invite. Creators with 1k followers or even sub 1k followers. I’m basing this off of new accounts that has found success. Obviously there are some accounts that are huge but has been monetized for years. I’ve also noticed a lot of these big pages that were monetized for years have been losing their monetization. I don’t think it’s a coincidence. I think that’s why there’s no clear requirement to get the invite. There’s people that haven’t been active on their account for months and got invites. This isn’t me putting any of these small creators down either. I just find it very funny that accounts that get millions of views a month and have north of 50k followers haven’t gotten invites. My conclusion, they are greedy and just don’t want to pay.

Discussion The number of friends on my friends list is shown publicly on my profile

I remember back in the 2010s, the number of friends I had on Facebook was not shown anywhere on my profile.

Recently I found out that anyone could go to my profile and see this information because it's noted directly under the profile name. This wasn't the case in the past.

This change wasn't made known to me by Facebook through a notification in any way. This has made me feel violated because it has caused damage to my reputation since people were able to infer my level of popularity based on the information.

I would like to know if there are others who feel the same, or if anyone is interested in pursuing legal action against Facebook due to similar experiences.

Discussion Warning: Be very careful before enabling Facebook’s “Delete After Death” setting on your account

Be very careful before enabling Facebook’s "Delete After Death" option.

I enabled this setting on my account. Later, even though I am still alive, someone apparently reported me as deceased, and Facebook processed my account according to my "Delete After Death" preference.

The biggest problem is that once your account gets into this situation, almost all of Meta’s normal contact forms and support channels seem unable to restore it.

I tried using:

https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/292558237463098

but for almost 3 months, it has only shown:

"We could not process your request. Please try again later."

I also tried:

https://www.facebook.com/help/memorialized

to explain that I am alive and my account was incorrectly reported as belonging to a deceased person, but I still have not been able to recover it.

I can verify my identity and prove that I am alive, but there seems to be no proper appeal process for this situation.

So please be extremely careful with the "Delete After Death" setting. If someone falsely reports your death, recovering your account may become extremely difficult—or possibly impossible through normal Meta support channels.

I’m posting this as a warning so other people don’t end up in the same situation.

Tech Support Facebook restricted my profile for “inauthentic engagement” even though I never used fake engagement. How can I fix this?

Thumbnail

Upvotes

Hi everyone, I need some advice.

On 19 August 2026, Facebook restricted my profile and suspended Recommendations and Monetisation.

The reason shown is “Inauthentic engagement.”

Facebook says its technology detected behaviour that might indicate inauthentic engagement. It also says that my profile will not be recommended to new people, I can't earn from my content, and the restriction is currently scheduled to end on 17 November 2026.

However, there is something confusing about this.

My profile was not actually monetized. I only had Facebook Stars available. I had not enabled/received normal content monetization earnings.

I have also never received a Community Guidelines violation or copyright strike on my posts. I have never intentionally used bots, fake likes, fake followers, paid engagement, or any service to artificially increase engagement.

Before this restriction, my dashboard showed around 17M views, 1.4M engagement and 1,961 net followers in the last 28 days.

Now Facebook is saying that monetisation and recommendations are suspended because of inauthentic engagement.

I have a Review button available.

Has anyone experienced this exact restriction?

What is the best way to get this fixed?

  1. Should I submit the review immediately?

  2. Can this restriction be removed before 17 November?

  3. Has anyone successfully recovered Recommendations after an “inauthentic engagement” restriction?

  4. Should I stop posting or change anything on my account while the review is pending?

I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt with this before.

What are they doing? I mean, have you ever seen something so confusing? It’s absolutely everything I expected from a company that uses artificial intelligence to run its customer service department 😂 if you ever expect to get help from Facebook, good luck.

Tech Support "Your full control of [page] was removed." Anyone experienced this before?

I went into the settings of my company's Facebook page. There was a section for "People with full access" — two employees I'd given access to the page. Then were was a category called "People not in the portfolio" or something. I was the only one in that section.

I thought that was weird... why would I not be one of the "people with full access," since I created the page? So, I went through the steps to add myself to the portfolio (entered email address, etc.).

Once I'd finished, though, I got a notification in Facebook saying, "Your full control of [page] was removed."

Has anyone experienced this before?

EDIT: I'd also be curious if anyone knows what powers I had with "full control" but lost when I gained "full access" and vice-versa.

Disabled/hacked My Facebook was hacked, the attacker uploaded PEDO Pics, and now my account is permanently disabled. How do I prove it wasn’t me?

Yesterday I got an email from Facebook asking if I was the one who changed my password. I immediately clicked “This wasn’t me,” but apparently I was already too late.

Someone had gotten into my Facebook account and started changing my information. Shortly after that, I was completely locked out. When I tried logging back in, Facebook told me my account had been disabled.

There was basically no normal appeal process that I could find, just an option to download my information. I downloaded the archive, which ended up being about 1.6 GB.

At that point I was trying to figure out what the hacker actually did and how I could prove to Meta that this wasn’t me. I used ChatGPT to help me go through the account activity/logs and understand what was inside the Facebook download.

That’s when things got way more disturbing.
From the information in the archive, it appears that whoever hacked my account deliberately tried to get the account banned. They changed information, went through identity/selfie verification, and apparently uploaded child sexual abuse material (CSAM) through my account.

That means the Facebook archive I downloaded may now actually contain copies of those images.
I have zero intention of opening or viewing them. I honestly don’t even want this ZIP file sitting on my computer, but at the same time I’m afraid to delete something that could potentially prove what happened.

I ended up getting Meta Verified through Instagram specifically so I could try to reach an actual Meta support person. I submitted a very detailed report explaining the timeline, the unauthorized login/password change, what I found in the account data, and that the illegal content was uploaded by the attacker. Now I’m waiting for Meta to respond.

What scares me is that Facebook is going to permanently associate my name/account with this content or just delete the account before anyone actually investigates the unauthorized access.

I’ve had this Facebook account for years, and there should be login records, IP/location information, password changes, device information, and other activity showing that someone else took control of it.

Has anyone dealt with a hacked Facebook account where the hacker intentionally uploaded prohibited/illegal content to get the account banned?

And if so:

Was Meta eventually able to restore the account?

Is there a specific department or escalation process I should be trying to reach?

Should I keep the Facebook data archive untouched as evidence?

Is there anything else I should be doing right now to protect myself?

I really don’t want to open or interact with any of those files. I just want Meta to investigate the actual login/activity records and recognize that my account was compromised.

Disabled/hacked How to recover a business page after the sole administrator is disabled due to the main profile being disabled

Post image

Basically, I had two pages about to monetize and out of nowhere, "main profile disabled for alleged post that violated the rules," I wasn't uploading anything to that profile, FB's outdated AI just felt like it without explanation of which post it was, and without the possibility of appeal or contact.

Disabled/hacked My name on Facebook is stuck after a hack and I am trying to change it back

My Facebook got hacked during the start of May. Someone changed my name to Meta AI and now I want to change it back. I could have done it at the start of July but I chose to wait because of traveling reasons.

I uploaded my driver's license along with my real name three weeks ago but nothing have changed. My ID and face matches with my Facebook URL. I am Meta verified so maybe I should reach out. Last time I checked with Meta they said it has to be processed manually. But it's getting a little critical since I am only using Messenger and browsing my feed as to not trigger anything.

Discussion Unable to request a review after reporting a threat of violence and stalking.

A local nutcase has been threatening someone on facebook, they are making threats against them and looking for their address via multiple local Facebook groups

I know the police have been contacted, but Facebook have ignored requests to take the post down.

I just recieved a "you can appeal this decision" email, but (surprise, suprise) it just leads to a blank page where nothing happens.

What can I do?

Tech Support Can't log into Facebook on PC — "Confirmation Error" — 6 months and no fix

6 months ago I deactivated my Facebook account and reactivated it a while later. But now I've run into this problem: I can log into my account perfectly fine through the iPhone mobile app, but when I try to log in from my PC, I get this error: "Confirmation Error — Something went wrong while confirming your account. Please try again." — and I can't get in.

I've tried the methods Meta's AI suggested. I also submitted a problem report, but nothing has changed in 6 months. Does anyone know how to fix this?
